Imagine you and your friend are members of a criminal organization who have been arrested. Each of you is in solitary confinement with no means of communicating with the other. The prosecutors lack sufficient evidence to convict you both on the major crime charge, but they have enough to convict you both on a lesser charge. Simultaneously, the prosecutors offer each of you a bargain. Each of you is given the opportunity either to betray the other by testifying that the other committed the crime, or to cooperate with the other by remaining silent. The possible outcomes are:

• If you and your buddy each betray the other, each of you serves two years in prison
• If you betrays your buddy but your buddy remains silent, you will be set free and your buddy will serve three years in prison
• If you remains silent but your buddy betrays you, you will serve three years in prison and your buddy will be set free
• If you both remain silent, both of you will serve only one year in prison (on the lesser charge)

I agree. Not in the sense that girls don't know stuff. But I have had enough number of friends who has done homework and wrote record books of guys for chocolates. 🙄

I think at a point teenage girls were stupid enough to think it was cool when guys approached them to get their work done. 😄

I actually liked the ending in the book, which was both funny and sweet, but this is so much better for a screen adaptation. I agree that the mini-series more than lives up to and maybe is even better than the book.

Seriously, aisi hoti hai a good romantic story.. Saasu ma was such a good actress na? All the cast, even the third angle was so well done, ofc it's from a 19th century novel, so the quality is there.

Actually the assigned project is a little different - it has more to do with the application of game theory. Visions is right of course, the best outcome for a prisoner is to rat out his/her accomplice. But if you change the setting - say now make it a marriage where neither person wants to do the cleaning - the dual defector setting is usually destructive. So sociologically, it is better to be a gadha and take the option of greatest cooperative good rather than greatest individual good.
