I haven't opened insta since days so I am totally unaware of such clips... Yeah, I did see one clip of some show on YouTube though and I found it utterly ridiculous. Apparently, some show on Colors is taking a supernatural route yet again. I couldn't even watch the entire thing; just went "W*F" after the first few seconds only.

Graphics of K-dramas back then were indeed good. And now, they have improved by leaps and bounds.

Also, I am honestly not expecting that level of graphics from ITV but at least they should spare our eyes from the torture that they serve us in the name of graphics.

Animation toh definitely no one beats Disney.

I am definitely taking proper rest...

Jokes apart, K-drama wala baat dimaag pe aya bhi nahi kyunki ek aisa bhi waqt the jab International shows bhi VFX ke mamle mein peeche tha. Only difference is, jab technology advanced nahi tha, even then they made the best use of what was available and the stories glued audience to the TV.

Haan, kuch bhi. Sab hota hai and you can utilize resources well, I have seen content with minimal graphics but apt use of resources so yes baat na hi kare toh acha hai.

Aur technology itni toh definitely hai, even in budget that you can show good stuff if not the best.

Naah, its not COVID. Instead, its some different illness. The patients are showing symptoms similar to dengue along with swelling in their joints: wrists, knees and ankles along with excruciating pain in the backbone. But the tests for dengue are coming negative. Even the doctors are confused.

And almost every second house in the colony has one similar patient. My aunt, uncle and cousin are also unwell.

Precisely. Minimal resources mein bhi achha content mil sakta hai. And overuse of graphics is never good.

Bilkul. Technology toh hai hi and we do have knowledgeable people in that field. They just need to do a bit of hardwork to show some good stuff but inse toh itna bhi nahi hota. 🤔

Exactly, aapko samza. Totally my point. Like if we see the original Mahabharat, their graphics were also done well compared to horrendous proportions we get to see now in tv shows.

But people just keep criticising it way too much, you can't even discuss shows or movies. Oh and even hollywood Or anything of the genre. Plus even if you genuinely try to explain story or perception behind it, they want to trash it saying there's no logic, etc.

I mean then why do you waste time seeing it?! Or chalo tumhara view tumhara hai, but then forcing your views down us, ki ye aisa hi hai.

Pata nahi kya problem hai.

I would agree with you on people being too critical these days, specially if they have a preconceived notion like - kuch bhi ho jaye mujhe bas criticize hi karna hain. That applies to all genres, not just fantasy.

But... I also think when you are creating something, even if it's inspired from other works, you have to be at least careful about the execution.

Let's talk about Nazar and Brahmastra themselves.

Piya being a Daivik had control over all natural elements. The concept wasn't anything new. Because when you talk about natural elements, you can't create a new other than fire/water/air/plant/earth.

But the way she used her powers, at least I couldn't recognize it from known cult movies/shows. That's where Nazar did its work properly.

Whereas in case of Brahmastra, the concept I felt was quite good but certain VFX they used were trademark of popular shows/movies that you can't ignore even if you want to. Like when Dev got resurrected, it was totally like Moana. Trishul bit was fine but Shiva's sword even looked like from those light swords from Star Wars. Even Junoon's red aura. So that's like giving people a chance to criticize it. VFX ke chakkar mein bohut zyada hi copied laga which I don't think was necessary. The concept itself was good enough.

So here the faltered big time.

But it's purely my opinion.

True! I have to partially agree with you on this as there's a reason I said fantasy genre.

I would give the discussion of Nazar and Bramhastra a total pass here cos ye kahan se tapak pade, like I said this was more of a generalized thing.

Cos if I go in this, then I can compare lot of unique things in the later which Nazar didn't have, like the Hanuman astra Or Nandi astra, which were totally unique. Plus I honestly feel the film did not deserve the criticism it garnered, cos even if it wasn't very good, it wasn't very bad as people claimed it to be. Plus I genuinely appreciate Ayaan for putting in so much Hardwork and dedication and giving some amazing graphics, if we have to do nit picking, so it can't just stop as you rightly said. Ofc certain basics will always be there like red aura for villains which even English movies have. Then Nazar also had some beautiful things, which we have discussed.

For me it will be one of the best Indian movies in vfx genre, combine mythology part too, which is done very well. A movie worth seeing in theaters in 3d, cos on laptop you aren't gonna get that feel though you may feel we got the story. So again an applause to Ayaan and vfx team. I always appreciate Ayaan cos he comes with really great concepts, talking about his debut.

Anyways coming to my actual discussion cos this wasn't my topic of discussion in the first place, but then again I had to talk it out and share my views on it. It's totally fine if we differ as well in this.

The reason I particularly said fantasy genre and by fantasy I don't include sci fi ones here. I talk about the actual fantasy genres, where magic and logic is both balanced but still people just critcize it saying, oh how dumb, what's the point?! You rightly said on people lately have this hobby to just criticise everything they see, which is sick but then again with this genre it's a different low and you can't even have healthy discussions cos they just insult it or make fun of it.

Like I say dog movies are stereotyped as Cute though they have a lot of depth, though a few people still discuss it very well so am happy.
