There is a saying " man proposes God disposes", stands true to me. From last one year I am facing periods problem, undergone medication also but still I cannot assess the date because a sight stress leads to periods. Last sunday I went to statue of equality after two days my BP went high and I am on periods, which lead to cancelation of trip. Hope I overcome this problem soon.

"We are alone" are the chilling words of the battered country, my heart goes out for all those fighting a brave but hopeless battle to defend their honour and country. Might is right and as in life, no one really helps or gets involved, everyone mouthing platitudes and only thinking of their benefits, hope and pray peace prevails and there is an end to the misery of the common man there. Wars are so disturbing, my heart goes out to the people there, reminds me of American novelist, Ernest Hemingway's book, Farewell to Arms!

Anyway, you all have a great weekend, the last of this month, do something that pleases you!🤗

I am sorry for your problems Padmaja. ❤️ I often think about how complicated a woman's life is. I guess God gave us that burden because we are able to endure it, unlike men.

I'm really upset these days. My country was bombed in 1999. They dropped cluster bombs, depleted uranium ... I can still hear sirens. Nobody cared about us. Nobody condemned them, nobody asked them "what are you doing"? They killed our children, demolished bridges, transformer stations, demolished the television building and killed journalists in it ...

Today we have a cancer epidemic. Many couples have trouble realizing themselves as parents. And NATO announced that depleted uranium is not harmful.

And again, bombs fall somewhere, sirens are heard. People go to shelters... . All that brought back memories and upset me.

It is only interesting that now, those who dropped bombs on my country with impunity, are the biggest critics of the bombing.

Until we are all equal on this planet, it will be like this for us. Sirens will howl, bombs will fall, people will die.

I pray to God that this accident ends as soon as possible and that all children in the world sleep peacefully.

In Praise of Sleeplessness

Unsleeping eyes which do not only see
Wallpaper patterns and the morning’s stain
Can read a future summer’s history
Painstakingly hand-written by the rain –
For each leaf’s destiny a single line
Attests to form: each drop’s semantics dream
The future garden’s shape, or the design
Of empty skies which sparkle, skies which scream.

The dreadful blessing of a waking night
Is felt when patience unbraids, from inside,
The eyes, then shifts the broadened roots of sight
To form new roads where new images ride –
A star is bursting into blooms of sea,
And in a glass of water, silence glitters,
Time after time your pasts keep breaking free,
No sea could taste as beautiful, as bitter.

Insomnia brings a fresh sleep into play:
Your waking self works on another plane –
Made in the old day’s image, the new day
Has grown a shadow, so is not in vain;
You take your coat, your keyturn still ignites
The engine – acts exact but other-led –
Polysemy sings at the traffic lights,
Weaves a new fabric with three hues of thread…

All those who feel by night that time’s unsure
Will give a different structure to their day,
From hour to hour; bound by its simple law,
They ask ‘Is there a structure anyway?’
Insomnia spawns another sort of sleep:
The waking state which recreates you teems
With this new sleep, just as rainwaters seep
Through desert sands. And in it, freedom gleams –

For those who stay awake, nights are elsewhere,
A star is bursting into blooms of sea,
Primeval forests, choking, drink the air
And water of a summer still to be;
Last image: sleepless eyes, just like a rear-
View mirror filled with road as it’s unrolled
To nothing, glimpse at Eden as they peer
Into the final sleeplessness, the fold.
