6 months later ~

Few months later the story begins from an award night. It happens to be an award night for entrepreneurs. Zoya is shown as the winner of best woman entrepreneur of the year. Through her thanking speech we are introduced to whereabouts of Aditya. Aditya from an unknown corner of Paris is shown watching Zoya proudly on his laptop screen as she credits him for all her success. He is left with a heavy heart when Zoya requests him to come back home.

In Mumbai Zoya refuses to accept Aditya's absence in their lives anymore hence plots a plan along with Aditya's younger brother, Arjun to bring him back. Her plan eventually fails causing a release of arrest warrant against her by the Hooda's. But to everybody's shock, Aditya arrives home right before zoya's arrest. Everybody including Zoya believes it is her plan which landed Adi in Mumbai but only Aditya knows it wasn't the plan.

Next few days Zoya is overjoyed to have her friend back. She makes plans to spend time with him. Whether it is eating ice cream after mid night or talking over the phone with chips and coffee, their friendship develops. As they spend time together aditya is mesmerised by this new confident Zoya. When Arjun informs Aditya about their parents Anjana-Harsh's upcoming 30th anniversary party, he believes only Zoya can arrange the party. The news doesn't go well with Aditya's mother and Zoya's father due to their past.

As the anniversary preparations begin, Aditya starts to develop feelings for Zoya which turns out to be much more than friendship.

Aditya settles on departing for Paris again. He on purpose fails his flying test arranged by his father so he doesn't have to stay back. Zoya accidentally finds Aditya's departure airline details. Devastated, she confronts Aditya asking him how could he leave her again. A heated argument breaks out between them causing Zoya to leave in anger.

But destiny as usual plays it's game. Zoya gets stuck in a car due to heavy rains in Mumbai. She almost suffocates to death before Aditya reaches her. It is the first time aditya and Zoya feel the pain and fear of losing each other. While hugging her Aditya accidentally spreads his blood on zoya's forehead.

Here after Aditya begins to behave strange around Zoya due to his growing feelings for her. Zoya notices his strange behaviour but is unable to decode the reason.

When aditya finally realises his love for Zoya, he is in a dilemma due to their past. But after hearing encouraging words from Arjun, Aditya imagines pooja who tells him to take this second chance in love.

Aditya plans to propose Zoya, only he doesn't know zoya's father has decided to get her married to his family friend's son Arshad. Aditya is shocked to find out about Arshad and zoya. When he questions Zoya, she tells him her disapproval for this marriage. Aditya is reliefed and here on, he tries his best to interrupt all the meetings between Arshad and Zoya. While attempting so, he plans a prank call for arshad leading to an unfortunate incident putting both Zoya and Arshad's life in danger. When Arshad finds out, he confronts Aditya but Zoya defends Aditya in his favour. Right after this incident, things take an ugly turn for Aditya when arshad and waseem tell Zoya that Aditya made the prank call because of his feelings for her. She declines it as rumours. But to her shock, Aditya confessed his love for her infront of arshad and waseem. A heartbroken Zoya feels betrayed and decides to marry arshad for her father.

Zoya and Arshad's engagement gets fixed. Aditya rushes over to change zoya's mind but instead she hands him over her wedding contact. Aditya also challenges her that she won't be able to marry arshad.

Even though the wedding rituals begin for arshad and Zoya, somehow by fate they end up between Zoya and Aditya. Throughout the rituals Zoya is shown to be unhappy which is noticed by Aditya. He makes multiple attempts to make Zoya realize that she gets affect by him, she only agreed for the wedding due to her fears of betrayal again. Zoya stays adamant and denies to have any feelings for Aditya. Aditya finally fails to gain zoya's love and misunderstands her to be happy with arshad. He backs out completely.

On the day of her haldi, Zoya receives haldi from Aditya which she accepts as his friendship. She ends up imagining him and is later shocked to find his ring in the haldi.

While getting ready on her wedding day, Zoya finds a letter from Aditya which he had prepared before his grand proposal for Zoya. The letter clears her misunderstanding, she realizes he had never betrayed her. He always wanted to confess his feelings for her. But Zoya has no time to process this as Aditya arrives there as a friend to escort her to the wedding venue. As he walks her down, Zoya recalls all the wonderful memories of them together.

Before reaching the venue, Aditya gifts Zoya the ring which had fallen in her haldi as a wedding gift. As the nikkah ritual begins, arshad confirms his qubool hai but when it is zoya's turn she stays quite. Zoya being reluctant in saying qubool hai gives the indication to arshad that she has feelings for Aditya. When asked, Zoya breaks down saying she tried her best to marry arshad for her father but she was unable to stop her heart from loving Aditya. This doesn't go down well with waseem, he punishes Zoya for choosing Aditya and disowns her. Aditya, in order to support a helpless Zoya, brings her home, but due to anjana's disagreement they leave the hooda house as well.

A devasted Zoya asks what is her relationship with Aditya that he is doing so much for her. Aditya prepares a very romantic marriage proposal for Zoya. Zoya gets emotional looking at the arrangement. When they return to their car, Aditya almost meets with an accident leaving Zoya scared. Coincidentally he meets his childhood friend vatsal and Ishita who invite them for their wedding anniversary. And to add on they give them the idea to get married at the party itself. At the party Aditya and Zoya spend some romantic moments with each other.

As the night passes, finally the moment arrives to tie the knot. Zoya somehow is a bit reluctant due to the accidents occurring at the party. But Aditya convinces her that they are written in each other's fate nothing will happen. The much-awaited hour walks up to Aditya in form of a beautiful bride, Zoya. They both recall their beautiful journey that took to get here.

This tale began from the beautiful streets of Mussoorie. Captain Aditya Hooda, a resident of Mumbai who was flying to Kathmandu on 19th march was not supposed to land in Mussoorie. He had planned to come back home to his wife, Pooja Hooda and celebrate her birthday. A storm almost causes Aditya to turn his flight around. But worsening medical condition of a passenger makes way for an emergency landing where his destiny was waiting looking up at the sky afraid of the upcoming storm.

The storm finally takes its course and arrives through a phone call breaking both Aditya and Zoya's illusion of their happy marriage, portrayed in the form of broken gramophone in Aditya's hand.

An accident which changes all four lives in one night. Rain breaks out washing away the happiness and peace from Zoya and Aditya's lives as they find their respective partners Pooja and Yash's dead bodies lying together clutching each other's hands in a random area of Mussoorie. It turns into a long night of dreadful events as Aditya due to his broken past is forced to believe that his wife was having an affair where as Zoya stays in the illusion of her husband being innocent. She believes Aditya is wrong and that Yash never had an affair with his wife.

The story takes a turn when Zoya decides to leave her hometown to go to Mumbai for the last rights of Yash's body. Zoya who has a phobia of flying, grasps a stranger's arm sitting beside her in the flight in a desperate moment when her flight is taking over. The strangest part is, it turns out to be Aditya who's arm she holds on to for support. Thus, begins Zoya's journey of holding Aditya's arm as she leaves her safe place for a new journey in Mumbai.

Once Zoya arrives in Mumbai, several incidents take place which ends her somewhere or the other near Aditya. Everytime she clashes with Aditya he taunts her with his sarcastic lines about the affair between their ex-partners while Zoya on the other hand continues to get intimidated by him.

Zoya's father Waseem decides to take matters in his own hands by deciding to bring Zoya back to Mussoorie. But at the airport when Zoya's wedding ring accidentally ends up at Aditya's feet, he again taunts for running away. This time she finally stands up and voices her own opinion about their dead spouses. Zoya's words about 'Pooja aap aaj bhi unse bepannah mohabbat karte hain' breaks Aditya's denial that he doesn't love his wife anymore. He is unable to fly the flight which was supposed to go to Mussoorie resulting in Zoya being pulled back to Mumbai through Aditya.

Right after the incident, Zoya finds an upset Aditya sitting at the edge of a bridge, she runs to save him yet again. It is then Zoya realizes 'Hum chahe ya na chahe, mane ya na mane hum dono ki kismat ek doosre se judi hui hai' Their destiny crossed over and entwined them together on the night of that accident.

Following the incident, a new story begins from Zosh. A company which was owned by Zoya's late husband Yash and invested by Pooja. Aditya soon finds out that his late wife, Pooja had invested five crores in Zosh. He vows to destroy the company by joining as a co-owner of the company along with Zoya. Zoya on the other hand who still believes her husband never cheated, vows to run the company successfully.

Their first event contract they get is Bella and Rohan's wedding. Aditya tries his best to abolish each function to trouble Zoya but instead, Zoya comes out looking successful. On the day of sangeet, Zoya for the first time she sees a broken and emotional person behind the mask of hatred Aditya puts around. After he saves the sangeet for the sake of Bella by putting aside his own agenda, Zoya realizes he is a decent person who is only angry because his wife is no more. This irks Aditya further and he pretends to push her off the terrace to prove he is not a nice person. While walking out he locks the terrace door by accident leaving Zoya locked in heavy rain. Zoya ends up unconscious by the time Aditya comes back to save her. For the first time Aditya feels guilty for his actions.

Despite their differences, Zoya and Aditya continue to work with each other in Zosh events. One day, due to late night riots, Zoya decides to stay back in the office. Fate plays it's game by landing a slightly drunk Aditya in the same place. They both are shocked on finding each other stuck in one place. After a heated argument, Zoya slaps Aditya for using wrong words against her and leaves the office only to be chased by goons outside. Aditya yet again arrives at the right time to save her. They end up in Zosh again for the night. Zoya again witnesses a kind man in Aditya. For the first time, they share their pain of sleepless nights since the death of their spouses.

After the riots night, Zoya receives a contract which happens to be coincidentally a contract for Aditya's birthday party. Aditya's late wife Pooja had planned a surprise birthday party for him before her death. Upon knowing this, Zoya is more than happy to arrange the party for Aditya on behalf of Pooja since she believes it is the only way she can prove to him that Yash and Pooja never had an affair. On the other hand, Zoya's sister in-law, Mahi discloses an old picture to Aditya of his last birthday party in which Yash is shown to be in his house along with Pooja. Aditya breaks down and vows to never celebrate his birthday.

A night before Aditya's surprise party, Zoya decides to stay back in the office late night to finish all the arrangements. Aditya who is unable to sleep due to his wife's haunting nightmares gets drunk and ends up in Zosh. Zoya and Aditya are surprised to find each other. One thing leads to another causing Aditya and Zoya in an awkward position on the couch. In his drunk state Adityaends up telling Zoya, he wishes he had met her earlier in his life in some other time. [in some other circumstances.]

On the day of Aditya's party, Zoya due to circumstances ends up wearing Pooja's saree. Upon arriving at party, Aditya is shocked to see Zoya wearing pooja's saree along with celebrations. He misunderstands that Zoya did it on purpose to take revenge from him. Things get out of hand when Zoya and Aditya again break into a huge fight.

Time brings in another havoc when Zoya & Aditya reach their home to find divorce papers waiting for them which was initially meant to be sent by Pooja and Yash before their death. Zoya assumes it is another one of Aditya's prank and confronts him. During the confrontation Zoya realizes yash was indeed having an affair and those divorce papers are authentic. As a heartbroken Zoya's illusion of her marriage breaks, she is unable to survive through the news. She attempts to end her life but at the last moment Aditya arrives as her saviour yet again.
