My problem with today's episode is not Shivaay's POV. But that was made Shivaay's opinion just to high light the social issue. If that was Shivaay's POV, it should have been discussed with Annika first.

See Shivaay doesn't want to have kids just bcoz of the social pressure or family. His opinion is that both partners should be ready to take the responsibility of kid then only plan for the kid.

Thats a fair enough point and I agree !

But what didn't go well with me here is Annika being clue less ! How does Shivaaay know that Annika is ready or not ? Did he ask her ? Did he check with her ?

Neither she knows what Shivaay is thinking nor what he wants and she specifically asks if he doens't want kid now or for ever and Shivaay says he is not sure !

We know that they are in love and assuming that they are having fairly a regular physical intimacy ! For a person who doesn't want to have kids or delay parenthood, should take precautions which I assume your partner will be aware of !

Unless the partner doesn't want to have kid but is not ready to tell the same to partner(in movie Dil Dhadakne Do, Priyanka's character is on pill so that she doesn't conceive but her husband has no idea on this and he is under impression that there is some problem with them conceiving naturally and hence want to go for artificial processes) Which I think is not applicable in this case of Shivika !

What was surprising to me after today's episode was that Annika is not aware of this ! She looked genuinely surprised of his decision !

Indy, you said about saying not interested in having kids as a defense mechanism. But today no one questioned Shivaay first ! When Rudy was hugging Bhavya and thanking god that Bhavya is not pregnant, Shivaay said that he wouldn't know how he would react if some one tells he is going to be PAPA...

That's when Annika asked about kids and his opinion ! So I don't think that statement was in defense mode.

If Dadi questioned Shivika about kids and then Shivaay answered that he is not ready now would have made sense bcoz he wouldn't want Annika to be MUed.
