I somewhat agree on this Sun.I have been personally a huge fan of MB & Dilip Saab's chemistry.The lightening just struck to their chemistry so bad that no on-screen couple can even touch that.No wonder they fell in love & their love story was equally tragic.Moreover it was MB own tragic life (her cancer & post demise may be that made the movie what it was.)People those days connected all that with Mugha-e-azam.I genuinely hope whomsoever heroine they choose does not get overshadowed by Shaheer's paramount presence.
There is more pressure on the heroine.She shall be compared to the ultimate diva of Indian Cinema-Madubala.Someone jiska sirf naam kafi hai.Kaam ki baat toh shuru karna is like-OMG!! What a miracle she was!!
my DP should answer all your questions..am a huge huge madhubala fan ..love madhubala to the core...and absolutely no one can be her and true the pressure on anyone ever playing anarkali is huge..nobody can match upto her ..never...
and imagine dilp kumar and she had broken up and yet see the scenes in the movie...the chemistry is so so intense...i have read her biography ...she was not only beautiful woman but a very beautiful human being as well...unfortunately her father's over protectiveness and her illness took a toll and snatched away her happiness and life...
one of her co actor and friend had mentioned in the book..that people would come to her and ask for money ,she would never deny them..once somebody asked her for money and without even asking anything she simply gave that person the money..this friend told her ..that person is lying to you and making afool out of you for money...she replied that ..that man asked her money in the name of yusuf saab (dilip kumar) how could she not give it to him ...and this was after they had broken up ..
