Aha this was what was left to compliment the wannabe Ian Fleming. Funny how the character I saw from this ph aren't mentioned 😆 Khushi

There was no Saas bahu roles because the heroines were busy doing eye locks, tripping falling and being caught by their Prince Charming , no no more like clone rakshases who all belonged to dysfunctional families who all had serious psychological issues 😆

Geet: wasn't yet aware of sher lions awesome shows.
Zoya didn't even have the stomach to tolerate voodo witches black magic and multiple leaps and reborn Male leads with new faces.

If Anika wearing matching patchwork clothes with her saaas makes her a modern bahu 👏 hail nayi soch

This is a prime example why Indian tv should never make shows based on extramarital affairs. Just one random episode and I knew what to expect from it.What justifies an extramarital affair btw? I learnt the show had an abrupt ending for obvious reasons. So, had to research a little and came across views from the original audience. I have been telling this to everyone. Fake feminism is a curse. People justifying Devar- Bhabhi romance is just nauseating. No, its not because I believe the institution of marriage is sacred or because I cannot accept women walking out of a meaningless marriage. Jassi, the FL is not complaining about her loneliness because her husband's steady income in overseas ensures a comfortable life for her and her family members. She fulfills all the duties of a dutiful daughter in law including marriage preps for her devar's marriage and then she fulfills her desires through her devar , the only man in the house. She gets him married to her unsuspecting cousin while expects him to carry on the affair. She is offended when he chooses his wife over her. Now, justifying her loneliness was just fine and having an affair too was somehow okay but why did she ruin another woman's life by getting her married to a man who is already in a relationship? Why should anyone expect the girl to accept this arrangement because women too have desires ? What happened to the rights of the other woman of the story?

In the end the FL dies while trying to save her cousin. The cousin is shown unmoved by her death. Now, she doesn't have the right to be ' flawed' like the FL. She will have to save her, cry for her and do everything a good daughter in law should do. While we pretend to have under stood the loneliness of that woman whose husband lives abroad we conveniently ignore the situation of the woman who was betrayed her own family.

IMHO, Jassi just wanted a convenient life where her husband earned enough, , MIL had faith in her, devar fulfilled her fantasies and his wife would cover her little secret. In a way she was just too selfish. She wasn't ideal I agree. She was not even ordinary.DD's show will go the same way where the ML willbe the one who will love two women at the same time. The whole fandom will justify it.

Indian tv runs on TRPs and to an extent the sentiments of fandoms.

Staying within a relationship is one's decision. But what Indian television does as Dey mentioned about the above show is the female lead will be justified if fandoms are there. There's no attempt to create a mature story.

DDs show already people are praising her and ML chemistry 🤢 so I'm sure it'll go in a satyanash way and since twisted stories gets TRPs this one too might run or if unlucky like Chandini whined that her story wasn't given a chance DD too can comment that a mature story' wasn't given a chance

have heard of this show, not seen anything but boy! I was stumped by the audacious take of the characters.

I loved the concept, it was new for TV and very much prevalent in the society. My househelp whose hubby works in Saudi is expecting their second child while the man hasnt returned for almost 2 years. Batao Kasie 😛 When I asked her, she laughed it off and said its mutually understood by the husband, devar and even Sasur.

Repulsive, I know and that is the stark reality of life. 🤢

Anyway, the show was handled very badly and just dint sit well with the patronising aam junta 😆
