The auspicious day and time for coronation is fixed but not decided on who is to be the King.D and A are sitting on a high platform, M and Av on the floor on either sides M pressing A's feet and Av doing the same to D. Si and Ka are also present. Though Si announced M as King, he refuses to ascend the throne after seeing his nanna.D and A are trying to convince their son.
A: Kanna, listen to us.
M: No nanna I won't listen anything to what you say regarding this. I am inexperienced know nothing about ruling a country.
D: But we will be there to guide you.
M: Still.. Nanna never got a chance to rule the Kingdom so I want to see him as King and you as Queen. Let me learn and get proper training.
A: Amma, he is not listening to us. You tell him.
Si: He is right Baahu. You are the rightful heir you should rule Mahishmati and after your time let Mahe take over. He can be the sarvayasainyadakshudu and get the required skills and training meanwhile what do you say Kattappa ??
Ka: Whatever you say talli.
Si: So be it. Baahu will be King and Devasena the Queen of Mahishmati.
D leans to A and whispers.
D: Your bossy mother forgot her punch line. Thank god!
A: Amma ! Amma ! You forgot your punch! Deva misses it she wants to hear !

Si: (Giggles) Idhe naa maata, naa maate shasanam !
A claps his hands and whistles to cheer his mother. D rolls her eyes.
Ka: Talli, my eyes are brimming with tears of joy to see you all reunited and happy we should thank god for this let's all go and offer prayers to Lord Parameshwara.
Si: You are right Kattappa. Let's all go as a family.
Suddenly A coughs.
A: Amma I am not feeling too well. Let me rest. You all go and come.
Si: Oh dear I will stay back then to look after you Baahu. The others can go.
A: No it's ok amma Deva is here she will look after me.
M: Nanna if you want I'll stay back..
A: No kanna I'll be fine your amma is there.
Sivagami and her grandkids along with Kattappa go to the temple.

On the day of coronation Mahe's foster parents and the tribals are welcomed. With M as the sarvasainyadakshudu heading the procession, AD in their royal finery are brought to the palace.
The citizens sing their anthem with pride.
Mahishmati Samrajyam asmagam ajeyam...
M: "Mahishmati yashwadalam abhimukam Maharaja vandanam..."
After Kattappa and his troops pay respects to the King and Queen they ascend the steps to the top with M behind them as their guard. Rajamatha Sivagami Devi crowns A as King, D as Queen and M as sarvasainyadakshudu. Av stands beside M. The trio take their respective oaths to rule justly, serve and protect the nation. The people rejoice shedding tears of joy and shower flowers everywhere for their wish finally came true after a long and painful wait.
Bhalla and Bijju were brought in chains and made to witness the entire coronation event. Bijju grits his teeth whereas Bhalla never looks up from his chains. People start pelting stones at them.
A: Stop everyone ! This is not the way to treat them. Justice will be served duly. Be calm. Guards, bring them to courtroom.
The citizens are so furious that they want to beat the father-son duo to death but refrain from doing so respecting A's words.

Scene at courtroom.
Bhalla and Bijju are brought before the King and Queen. Mahendra, Av, Kattappa are present.
Bij: Ei Sivagami !!!!!! You aren't dead ??? You finally achieved it haan !!! You made that lowlife who killed his mother upon birth the King !!!! That throne belongs to my son !!!
Si ignores him as usual. Mahe draws his sword out and rushes to strike Bij but is stopped by A.
A: Mahendra !
M: Nanna, how dare he...
A: Mahendra I know. Go back to your place.
M listens to his dad.
Sivagami gets up from her seat, walks down the step and stands beside the culprits. Ka too follows suit.
A: Amma... Maama... why are you both standing there ?? Come over here...
Si: It all began with me Baahu, I must be punished too.
Ka: Yes Baahu. You have taken the oath to rule justly. Don't forgive me just because I am your mama. Whatever punishment you give I will accept wholeheartedly.
A: I won't punish anyone.
All are shocked and look at A including D. Ministers and other noble men start to talk amongst themselves.
A: Silence ! I won't punish. It is my Devasena who suffered the most hence it's only fair she deals this case. Whatever judgement she gives shall be implemented.
D turns to A with tears filled in her eyes and A nods his head putting his arm across her shoulder assuring that he'd always stay by her side.
M: Amma say amma... just order me to chop their heads, I will do it and place it beneath your feet !!!
D: No Mahe... calm down.
She thinks for a while and then gets up,
D: Bijjaladeva not only brought darkness to my life but to Mahishmati so he shall be thrown into a dark dungeon. He shall not see the light. Three meals will be served to him daily. He shall not be allowed to meet or talk with anyone. He shall live this way till his death.
Rajamatha Sivagami Devi gave way to emotions and misused her position to pass wrong orders hence though she is Rajamatha her powers will be limited. She no longer holds the ultimatum. The King will have the final say hereafter.
A mv: Oops so my amma cannot say 'idhe naa maata' anymore. Devu hates amma saying that so she has put a ban on that. My Devu is badass!! Devasena nuvvu soopereh!!
D: Kattappa, I understand you are a slave and bound to obey orders however that is not an excuse.
You could have told the truth to my husband who would have happily laid down his life rather you chose to backstab him which is the most treacherous of all. As a Queen, I free you and your clan from slavery this minute but as the wife of an innocent man whom you attempted to kill through deceit, I can never forgive you. That day on my seemantham I had given you the status of my father but it shall not be so anymore. You have lost a daughter.
Ka drops on his knees and weeps overcome with guilt.
As for Bhallaladeva, he shall be dragged in shackles to the very pillar he bound me, tied to the post and tortured everyday till his death in the same manner he tortured citizens. I will do it with my own hands!!!
She goes and sits beside her King. Everyone in the courtroom rise from the seat and applaud cheering their Queen's judgement except a few,
"Maharani, they have tortured the people of Mahishmati they ought to be killed instantly !!"
D: Instant death is bliss. It should not be given to them who ruled and tortured the innocent for years. They should suffer only then they will know how it feels for others.
"You are right Maharani."
D: Ammu, you have anything to say ??
A looks at D he gets up and walks down to meet Bhalla who still has his eyes downcast.
A: Bhalla, if you want to rule Mahishmati I will step down from this position but give me your word that you will not harm my family or the citizens and rule fairly.
All are appalled by A's actions except D.
M: Amma, what's wrong with nanna ??
D: I saw this coming kanna. Your nanna is not human he is one exception a different specimen altogether.
Si: Baahu!! Are you mad ?? What are you ...
A: No amma he did all this because he desired the throne if he is given that he might be at peace.
Si: But he got to rule once and he caused havoc now again you want to ??
A eyes his Mother to remain calm.
Bhijjala then moves closer to Bhalla and whispers in his ears,
Bij: Now is the right time ra.. it's ok even if you don't get to rule Mahishmati but he should not !! Take your dagger and stab him !! Kill that lowlife!!
A: Bhalla, you still haven't said anything??
Bhalla limps to Baahu and takes his dagger out everyone thinks he is going to stab Baahu but he drops it and falls at his feet.
A: Bhalla !! What is this Bhalla ?? Get up !!
Bh: Maharaja, I am not worthy to even look at your face. How can you be so nice to me after all I caused you ?? I accept Maharani's judgement even if you kill me this instant I am happy with it but in my next birth I wish to be reborn as your brother with a heart of love and compassion.
Tears fill A and Si's eyes.
A: Oh my Bhalla !!
Bij: Eh ??? Bhalla !! You traitor !! Are you my son ?? Chi !!
But Bhalla doesn't mind his father. A picks Bhalla up and both brothers share a hug. Their mother too joins them. She is happy that her evil son reformed at last. A takes his 'pee pee' out again.
D: Karma karma...
She hits her forehead.
Av: Sivu, is he for real ??
M: Amma said no, he is one specimen. Nothing can be done.
Devasena with a victory smirk on her face and 'Maithili' bgm playing drags Bhalla in shackles and ties him to the post.Bhijjala is sent to the dark dungeon. The priest guy is whacked and chased out of the country by the commoners. Peace and justice restored in Mahishmati. 👍🏼
