Few things..
1. The show has issues at multiple levels- characterisation, writing, portrayal, execution and even direction. It never takes only one thing to affect the show. And it certainly doesnt take a single actor to make the show a hit.
2. In terms of Chandni, if the director has failed to show emotions, the writer failed to put forth clarity and the actor has failed miserably to showcase the subtle nuances and none can justify it. The show is nothing but team work but at the end of the day its one's work too. There are solo awards for performances and then there are jodi awards so yup, one actor needs to show versatility which ST lacked, imo.
3.It doesnt take a genius to know that actors support the PHs cos they pitch them for work but at the end of the day the channel takes the call too. So yes, being true to your mentors is very good, exceptional but one needs to look beyond for professional satisfaction.
4. That line on 'I am the protagonist' was uncalled for. I know he dosnt mean it, he has a foot in the mouth prob but may took offence to it. 😕 Better safe than sorry.
