Colors' popular show Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop (Rashmi Sharma Productions) will see a 10 years leap very soon.
The show will see the likes of the grown-up generation taking centre stage.
The actress to play the female protagonist will be Donal Bisht.
Yes, Donal who enthralled viewers with her performance in the Sony TV show, Ek Deewana Tha will be back in a new avatar.
As per credible sources, "Donal will be paired opposite Shashank as lead.
We buzzed Donal but did not hear from her.
We reached out to the channel spokesperson but did not get revert.
The show, which premiered on Colors in May as an attempt to break the shackles of traditionalism when it comes to set roles of men and women in the Indian society, also features actress Donal Bisht of "Ek Deewaana Tha" fame.
"I always choose to play a role that is distinctive and one that has an impact. The show's bold and hard-hitting concept is what got me to take it up," Shashank said in a statement to IANS.
"Gender stereotypes need to be spoken about in order to bring a change and I'm honoured that Colors and Rashmi Sharma Telefilms have given me this opportunity," he added.

MH Team: What does fitness mean to you?
Shashank Vyas: Fitness and success are interconnected. Being fit is more about adopting a disciplined lifestyle, which contributes to success in a big way. If you can't win over yourself, you can't win over anything else in life. So, fitness doesn't only mean muscle building, it also means mental wellness. It all about improving your lifestyle and a fixing a daily routine.
What would you define as healthy?
Who says that fitness is only about working out to get six packs? They are not necessary at all. A lean body, of course, is a must as it promotes flexibility and one feels energetic all day.
How often do you workout and for how long?
I was recently working out to completely transform my look. I wanted to bulk up and look completely different than I have ever before. So, during this time, I would work out in the gym for a minimum of 4 hours. But now that I am done with that, I work out for two and a half hours, six days a week.
What are the core areas that you focus on while working out? Do you alter these every day?
I don't believe in focussing on any particular area when I am working out. I think being fit is all about overall training and not just focusing one muscle part.
Besides the traditional weights and cardio-based-workout regimes, what are the other newer regimes that you like to follow?
There is so much that you can do now. However, swimming is something that I have been fond of since my childhood. Besides being an excellent way to tone up, swimming is a welcome change in this scorching heat. Going for a swim after sweating it out in the gym is a welcome treat!
What is your favourite after workout snack/smoothie?
I am very particular about what I eat pre and post workout. My favourite post-workout snack would be a sweet potato protein shake. Sometimes, I also go for a brown bread vegetable sandwich.
When it comes to fitness, who is your idol?
My idol is my coach. The dedication that he has when it comes to fitness is mind-blowing. I wish I could work out the way he does!
What diet plan do you follow?
I follow a less salt, sugar and a high-protein diet. There are a lot of good carbs that must be included in your diet. Here's the diet that I follow:
Breakfast: A bowl of oatmeal with fruits and dry fruits or a white egg omelet and an apple.
Lunch: Boiled vegetables with a bowl of dal and 2 rotis or bowl of vegetable, sprout salad.
Snacks: Fruit salad or a brown bread vegetable sandwich or sweet potato protein shake.
Dinner: Vegetable soup with some with some sauted veggies.
It's all about training hard and eating the right food at the right time.
What about cheat days? What do you like to treat yourself to on these days?
So, I don't really have a day when I decide to cheat on my diet. I am quite strict with myself. But if there is a time when I really feel like having something, I do indulge sometimes. My favourite cheat food, as you can call it, would be aloo parathas. I love them and it's very tough for me to resist them!

Mumbai, July 10 -- After a hiatus of a year, actor Shashank Vyas will soon be back on the small screen.
Explaining his reasons to pick the new show, he says, "There is no deliberate attempt to take long breaks between projects, but you do want to work on your terms. I have turned down many shows earlier as well, because it is important for me to have prominence in a show, which is rare for male actors on television. I wanted to play the title role and I am glad to have got one in this show. Aur phir kaam toh karna hi hai (and then one has to work; laughs). After Balika Vadhu ended, there was a year's gap before I signed my second TV show, Jaana Na Dil Se Door, and now after another year I have signed this new show. I am proud of the two shows I have done in the past. I have been selective but I don't want to be too selective either."
In the last one year, Shashank has been working on his health and physique. His endeavour was to shed his chocolate-boy image that he had since his debut in the show Balika Vadhu.
He says, "I worked really hard to gain some muscles. I did it for myself as I wanted to look good and fit. Also, the roles offered to me were all on the lines of the boy-next-door, and I wanted to acquire the macho image. If you change your looks, your options open up."
The actor admits that he wasn't thinking of films when he worked on his body, though he did give auditions. "I am not a multi-tasker. When one tries for films it means giving up TV, which I haven't done. I don't think that far ahead career-wise. I auditioned for roles that seemed suitable and interesting. Nowadays, there are many small production houses [making film] but I want to work only with a solid banner."
With just work on his mind, Shashank who has many female friends claims he is not dating anyone.
"Yes, many of my friends are girls, and I am quite attached to all my costars but I have never had a romantic relationship with any of them. I am friendly with all of them, and nothing else ever happened. I think when you fall in love, you have to detach yourself from other things in life. And I am so engrossed in work at the moment that I don't have time for dating."
