@Intuitive,a lawyer is supposed to know everything about the client.Even if the client has committed a crime for real then he has to confide in the lawyer.After that it's the lawyer's decision if he/she has to go ahead with the case or refuse to accept it.The client has to be completely honest with the lawyer and share the facts with him/her.

Anybody watched the movie Primal fear? Richard Gere played the lawyer and Edward Norton played his client who is accused of a brutal murder. Their attorney client relation in that movie is something to watch for and then there is a big twist how Edward's character totally plays his lawyer. That scene still gives me the creeps, Edward's transformation was so bone chilling and richard's character Martin realizing that he has been played. Tooo good. The attorney client convo reminded me of these 2characters.
