Well the problem was they were in a way forcing her to come back...the Queens (moms) were women and Queens in their own way but they couldn't do anything to stop the injustice that happened to her as a Queen

Ram abandoned her a King and as a King he wanted her back though he did realise his mistake in the end but it was too late
As per Ramayan Ram orders her to go through another Agnipariksha to prove that luv and kush were his sons- that was the final straw for him

Her leaving him and going to earth from where she was born is important in the sense that she was free from all obligations and duties. Sita was always free - she was the one who chose Ram, she willingly went to van vaas for him and if he had told her about the gossip she would have willingly left him again but he does not tell her anything rather sends to Vanvaas without telling her of her mistakes

Laxman's guilt is paramount because he was instrumental in everything but he did what was told to him by his elder brother Ram and for him Ram's orders are everything

That is why Sita said - younger ones should question their elders because not all the time the elders are right
