Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami

Television actress Drashti Dhami, who rose to fame with her turn in the serial 'Geet... Hui Sabse Parayi', among others, recently returned from a month-long shooting schedule in Austria, where she was romancing co-star Arjun Bijlani for her upcoming show. Helmed by Ekta Kapoor, 'Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil' pairs the 31-year-old with television's blue-eyed boy Bijlani, of 'Naagin' fame, for the first time, and the duo's chemistry has already become the talk of town.

"I've known Arjun since his 'Miley Jab Hum Tum' (TV serial) days. I'd head to the sets to meet Sanaya [Irani, TV actress] who was also part of the serial. Working with a familiar face makes things easier" she reasons, adding that the 34-year-old father of one is like a baby himself. "He cribs about petty things like the heat," she laughs.

Dhami and Irani have been the small screen's most celebrated BFFs. "We started our careers together and bagged ads, TV shows, and brands simultaneously. We are very close and have discussed our professional concerns," says Dhami.

Meanwhile, Irani, who had taken a sabbatical from acting, is set to return to the small screen with Meenu Mausi. Will the two buddies pair up for reel? "I'd love to, but I don't think any show can afford the two of us together," she says, matter-of-factly.

Indraneil Sengupta in Star Plus' next

Talented actor Indraneil Sengupta needs no introduction and has had a huge body of work in both the small screen and the big screen!!

Indraneil who is presently part of Jamai Raja on Zee TV, will soon be seen in a Star Plus show, in a never-seen-before avatar!!

As our readers would remember, acclaimed writer Zama Habib coming up with a new fiction show for Star Plus was Tellychakkar.com exclusive news!! Under his newly formed banner Qissago Telefilms, Zama has shot the pilot for the show in Banaras recently.

We had also reported about Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Kunal Khosla and newbie Bhumika Gurung playing the leads in this drama series.

We now hear of Indraneil playing a very important role in the show.

As per sources, "Indraneil was part of the pilot shoot. He will be seen playing a cop, with his character graph being an extremely challenging one."

When contacted, Indraneil refused to comment.

We tried buzzing Producer Zama Habib, but did not get revert till the time we filed the story.

As we know, Indraneil's actor wife Barkha Bisht plays the lead in Star Plus' ongoing show Naamkarann.
