I had watched it last year here is my review


A friend recommended me kankar, though I wasnt in for a heavy watching but I guess once I started I found it gripping and that's why I continued, a similar story of rag to riches practical woman..

She was not expecting the world to be laid at her feet, she was happy where she was , she knew her reality and was accepting it without remorse she looked satisfied... a whirlwind a prince in white armour sweeps her off... she doesn't get time to soak but she is on a high...

what follows next is not so different but what is different that her attitude to everything... her question that will luxuries and jewel stop the painful death of me????

Sikander is shown as reserve intense,one who believes in love yet unable to understand the fact the god has created each of his beings equal... the world is same for each of us...

what I didn't agree was Arzoo running in to fill the shoes Kiran left.. I would have loved a little more caution on her.. but when are women known for brains over emotion, she had been in love once with sikander and she wanted him at any cost.. she just jumped in to it right away.. and got what Kiran had been saying all along, what I was touched was how subtle or how strong abuse is in lives of common people. as it is said

we just have to see if it is a pattern or not, if we stop it at the first time we face it it might change our future but most of us just accept living in our own dreams that it will be one time incident a burst of anger. but it doesn't

so be there to fight for what matters to you bcz most ppl around will tell you tht you get what you deserve but you the one who wll decide what you deserve in this case...

On a personal thought we need to stop analyse the upbringing we are giving to our kids. If in changing times we do not change the ways method or ideologiesto raise our kids.. we have to instill equality in both genders teach boys to love and respect the partner and make girl's stronger educated so that if they are stuck in such a situation they have the innate strength to support themselves may be by standing up against it or walking out and self supporting themselves.
Overall Kankar is a satisfying watch.
