Improving anyone's writing takes lots of practise including making mistakes, reading lots of stuff from everywhere book to newspapers, knowing the correct spelling and grammar for that language, an editor, a beta reader to feedback and time. It takes quite a lot of time to build up practise and experience.

IF isn't the best site for writing and getting critiques. If you write a story and managed to get readers who give you feedback then it helps a lot. Otherwise it's hard to tell what you're doing right or wrong.

I am usually asking myself the question, how can I improve. I have many run on sentences and clauses that aren't right. Sometimes I do lots of telling instead of showing what's happening. I can take too long to build the world the story is set in and other times it's not believable.

That's why I was thinking we could use this thread to help us become better writers. It can become a creative thread. I use it to write poems and short fiction / flash fiction so I can work on ideas without worrying about readers or comments.

That is something that had affected my writing, to the point I wanted to delete everything I wrote and never share my work.

What do you guys think? Should we give it a go and try something like this?

Pretty much. I am starting a few projects up and need a place to keep them so I can track my progress

It's a mix of writing, Photoshop, drawings and stuff. The treehouse pretty well suits many purposes since it is where I live here on IF.

I don't like posting on the individual forums as much and here you can chat too which helps

But how to do it well? Definitely will take it slow.
