The good looking and talented actor Nakuul Mehta, who is still remembered for his role of Adi on Star Plus' popular show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara... is now back on television with a new role to enthral the viewers. Nakuul will be seen as Shivaay on Star Plus' upcoming showIshqbaaz.

The lad had been on a sabbatical for quite a long time and has an interesting reason for taking up this character for the show.

When asked about the reason, Nakuul at his wittiest best, shared with us, "The choices are limited on television these days. You either get to play a Makkhi or a Machchar these days on television, so I told them that I want to play a human being. Also, there is not much work for a male protagonist on television and I am getting to do something as an artist with this show. The story is based on male protagonists and it's a story that I would love to watch."

Elaborating about his role, Nakuul added, "Shivaay is the eldest of the three brothers, who belong to a powerful business family of the country. It was easier for me to play Adi who was very lovable, full of life and an energetic guy. Shivaay is a person that one might not love. The show has taken me back to the time when big family shows used to come on television."
