Your menu seems mouth-watering. Achar ghar mein banaya? I had roti, dal and beans aloo ki sabzi yesterday. Aaj matar ki sabzi awaits for lunch.

yes, achaar I made at home... I'm good at making achaar...give me any vegetable and I can make achaar 😳 here at home achaar is a must so I make achaar.

arrey nahi! my sister and I are poles apart - she hardly watches tv,loves to listen to music...I watch tv and never listen to music 😕

matar ki sabzi *sigh* love it but what to do here nobody likes it

Amu, Haaw toh pehle kyon nahi bataya aapne. I was struggling to find a good Mango pickle recipe. Fortunately a friend here helped. Ab toh season bhi nikal gaya to make some variety..

TV par aaj kal aata kya hai that a whole family can watch together. Aaj I had Palak minus the paneer with roti. Matar - Even I don't like it.

if you ask her about bitwa she will ask who he is...her current passion is for Telugu romantic/hit songs released in 2015 😕 She has downloaded more than a 100 and is religiously listening to it as bedtime music 😲 I mean shouldnt you know the language buddy She doesnt but then who is to make her understand that 😕

hey about Mango pickle well even in this season you will get if you go to the market. Get a mango(but it will cost you) cut it into small pieces sprinkle salt and redchillie powder on it. Take a spoon of oil(preferably gingely/til ka tel) warm it add asafoetida/hing(a pint) and splutter the mustard and add it on the red chille powder. The heat of the oil will cook the red chillie powder. Shake it well and set aside for around half hour and hogaya instant kachcha aam pickle.

This is the first pickle we learn as kids 😳

Amu - Oh yes, the beauty of the song increases by leaps and bounds if one understands the langauge. I think she likes dancing, aren't Telegu songs foot-tapping? Maybe she likes to hum. Sorry about misinterpreting things.

actually there was a mango tree in our house - so as kids in summer holidays when mangoes are hanging at our hands reach it was our pastime. Then the mango tree was gone and our pastimes changed as we grew up😳

hey but this is the season for lime pickling, You will get fantastic limes at this time of the year.

Still not relieved of the throat ache Then try this. Before going to bed gargle with warm salt water. Salt is not the iodised salt but the crystal salt(marine salt). After the gargle dont drink water or wash your mouth because the salt impact should be there on the throat overnight. Morning you will definitely feel better

Amu - Aam ka ped. What else? I remember having a guava one. Those were the days.

Lime - The prices are pretty high, Rs115/kilo. But that is not going to stop me from getting a recipe from you. 😛

Gargling - Will do, would have to get the namak first. Abhi made noodles for dinner, clearly I am not taking precaution.

yes the price of lime is high - forgot about that

well there was this bitter lime shrub at home. This lime cannot be used for juice making. It can be used only for making pickle both hot as well as sweet pickle. Dont know if you have heard of the fruit - kichli.
