Just how adorable are they. THE MANIK MALHOTRA waiting for his girl girl to kiss him. And she's such an adorable with childlike innocence that even he becomes a child with her. He just plays along and let's her have her way. What wouldn't he do to keep that smile on her face. I DIE

If this had come after something like say NYE confession, it made sense...there was a high of a confession followed by the mellowness of coupley moments...but right now it's like we jumped straight from Manik's roundabout "I hate you but I hope for you" gol mol talks into MaNan romancing like they nothing ever changed...it's a bit of a jhol.

Haha. I said the same thing a few episodes back. They are being too coupley for a couple whose future seems so dependant on singing together in a concert. I don't understand when or how this transition happened. It started with their trust issues and Manik's anger and identity crisis of sorts, and then went on a different tangent altogether with this concert thing and him protecting her hope etc. The change in their dynamics never quite came through.
I think the disconnect you are talking about is mainly due to the many side-routes this track took to bring them back to this point. Between V-day and the present day, we had the whole Mukti-Abhimanyu thing which nobody felt for , but was important for MaNan because it steered their whole thing towards this 'true love' discussion. Plus Nandini coming to his friend's rescue once again.
Holi was always geared towards the TRP game, and then onwards toh the romance was completely on, plus Manik's protective instinct kicked in with the Pandit. Post that, merger fiasco which they spun as time-out in which he did some introspection and decided he was no longer hurt or angry. But of course we didn't SEE any of this happen because mergecrap.
Post that things became even more complicated with Dhruv coming into the mix, so we were thrown right back to Musicana when we should have been addressing Vday. Add to that this campaign drama which again threw them off-track. Yeah, confusing.
Problem is that you can kinda explain it all THEORETICALLY if you take into account Musicana and NYE and the incomplete nature of both those moments, so you can see why they are combining it all to culminate in this concert, but execution has gone haywire due to all these sidetracks and publicity stunts. Not to mention the highly ambiguous nature of this whole conflict in the first place. Soha seems to be completely forgotten and the truth about Noyonika 's entire game just seems so pointless now. It is nice that they are beyond misunderstanding each other, but then the question remains- WHY do this whole drama then?

Things I liked otherwise:


1) MaNan having reached a stage of contentment and full disclosure b/w them (barring the big confession) especially with Manik's assertion about wanting to have it ALL this time without letting anything come b/w them.


2) Nandu's brave attempt to kiss him😆...definitely the cutest bit of the epi cuz it had a nice playful aura to it without trying too hard with things like "Mere maali ne mujhe seeds diye"...Manik talking to his Maali is a hard sell to me😆...and did they seriously make him a BHOOT/ZOMBIE in b/w?🤣 oh the meta.

Anyways yeah the actual bit with Nandu trying to kiss him and accusing him of cheating and him going like I never cheat and then the final, "Bas itni himmat thi?" LOL that is MaNan in a nutshell...on point all of it.


3) Nandu repeating her "So you're giving me hope...so you mean my hope will win" lines and him just smiling and giving her the fusion concert as a lollypop goal...lol


Oh forgot but I did like the texting banter...innuendo WIN..."Staring at it won't make it GROW faster"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣



4) Manik-Cabir scenes the next day in college...both the one about the "plan" regarding Dhruv and the one later on in the washroom...and ROFL Manik was BLUSHING when talking about how the concert is gonna be d-day for him and Nandu?😲...they are really playing up the FUSION...something's gotta give...lol

Anyways I liked the scene otherwise...Ayaz was hilarious.


Precap: Deffo didn't seem as sinister as everyone painted it...anyways Manik's panic mode searching for Nandu reminded me of the Soha epi...intrigued to see how this plays out tomorrow.

@bold: Bang on...especially the point about how this should have been about the V-day issue being addressed but became about the Musicanan loop instead...I appreciate the open-ended nature of the writing otherwise cuz it leaves room to analyze but this one time they've opened up too many threads and I see them struggling with looping back to the CORE of the problem...it has largely FIZZLED out to a great extent now...honestly I struggle with even REMEMBERING what the conflict even was about😕😆...itna kuch khichdi daal diya hai beech mein that average audience toh bhool hi jaao will ever get it...they are just in it to watch MaNan ka romance...woh toh one scene per epi they always put in...junta khush😆


And you know how they've achieved this ambiguous jump to this current relaxed coupley situation? By SEVERELY dumbing down Nandu...the Nandu who QUESTIONED and CALLED OUT Manik for his vague contradictory talks is now more or less this vapid being turned on by the word HOPE😆...like she is just not interested in anything beyond him coming back to her, their hope winning...aage peechhe woh jo bhi bole, doesn't matter to her...her identity literally has squeezed down to "fusion concert will be our day"😆...the fusion concert for which btw Manik had originally simply said if we manage to sing together, then we have HOPE of possibly being together...matlab this is what Nandu has come down to...just the POSSIBILITY is enough for her to by flying😕...as if Manik is doing some ehsaan on her.


And I found it random yesterday also how she was shouting at him for showing up late...transition was totally lost there from the time the phone call was cut to him showing up...yeah they were trying to be all cute fighting about it but that was random...as was his bhoot imitation😕...scene picked up after the seeds bit and her instant "crocodile" tears as he called them😆


Ultimately the WHY of it all remains...they've made the whole conflict redundant now cuz they've moved on to mellowness without resolution...I do see that they are trying to shift the whole thing to the fallout of the Pandit track now whatever that will be but the fact remains that the momentum for the v-day resolution is lost in many ways...unless Manik will do some "big speech" the day of the fusion concert to sum up the whole story.


Oh well I guess we can be thankful that for now atleast they've pulled the threads all back to one thing...the Pandit/fusion concert track...with tadka of Dhruv -Fab5 issues on the side.
