Zubaida, To save her mother(Mrs. Khurana) , Alina need much more power than she had & there was only one possible way to get it that was to take the soul of her dead brother (Whom Abhay had killed before) . Now there was a chance of giving back life to her brother by killing Abhay & taking his soul but by using his soul to save her mother, Alina destroyed all hopes of Mrs. Khurana to get her son back. She said she didn't wanted to live at the cost of her son's soul & that's why she hated Alina. In the red coffin it was Mrs. Khurana's son.
