hello gals!!

just read the discussion from where i left yesterday! nice points coming up...
i am not a fan of any political party...but yes for now i am in full support of Modi for center...he is doing some really good things...and the growth rate is quite good indication of that. another good thing is the way he is putting India on the world map. yes there are challenges, some wrong decisions...but then when you are running this big democracy its not easy. in the last 8 months many initiatives have started...but it is going to take time to see the results on the ground level. people have become way too impatient.
So i would deifinitely give him atleast these 5 years and then access what he has done. 8 months is too short a time. and if he fails to deliver i wont really be supporting him.

condition of farmers - this is not something that the current government is responsible for. its a result of what is happenning for all these years. and i wont blame the past govts also fully for it. India still lacks technology and infrastructure at many places. so i do have hope these things will change.
India is a mix of everything rich, poor, caste, culture so to carry along all these differences is not easy. you cannot only keep the rich happy and you cannot only keep the poor happy as well.
anything in excess is going to ruin things. and didnt the past govts work in more interest of poor...what benefit it has done to them? Dharavis are still being made and they increase every day.
atleast PM now has a vision of 100 big cities...even if they are successful in making 10-20 in total in different states...lot of migration to metros will stop. thing is to create work in smaller cities and for that as well capital is needed. if there is no investment no jobs will be created.
my husband is from Bihar...and his village is like in the interiors.electricity was 4-5 hours a day, but after the new govt...all the villages get 20-22 hours of proper power supply. isnt this a development. roads have improved so much...they are just like any good roads in Mumbai. for me this is development and this is for the poor because majorly they form the villages.

coming to religion and minority community - well past govt was always a minority supporter...did that improve their condition? better than the majority? not at all...it was just their vote bank...
i do not agree with that good governance day nor with the 'Ghar wapsi' nonsense..though this is something from VHP...but they are linked to BJP so the muck is going to come..it is imp for ruling party to change and i think if they become completely secure it will be a good change. you cannot do good by just appeasing to one community..it can just give you vote bank.

just forgot to add...in gurajat during the road improvement projects lot of temples were also removed ...but this was never highlighted...if you have to do development you need to think beyond religion and minority.

AAP is a fresh party with fresh thoughts and since the party has lot of well educated people i do have high hopes that they perform well. but the flip side is they do not have people experienced in governing ...specially a democracy like ours...they will of course learn the game. but till then it is wait and watch. And hope people of Delhi also give them these 5 years to work and prove their mettel. If AAP does good it is going to be good for the country as well, we will get a strong and positive contesting party in next elections. You always need a good opposition to perform well. and i am glad BJP lost this election, atleast they can now retrospect and improve.

just reminds of Chetan Bhagat's line: "A population that votes on promised freebies rather than a wealth creating economy is destined to stay poor".

in our case - too much of either is going to take us down. hope all the ruling parties (center and state) understand this and work with a proper blend.

In a country like ours where so many different religions communities have to live in harmony how can they not respect the rights of the communities who are in a minority?Their rights are being violated and PM doesn't say anything.
He became a PM because minority communities have also voted for him and decided to give a chance to him. What has he done so far about the places of worship which have been vandalised?
He has not even said anything about it.
Christmas day becomes good governance day and don't know what else will happen.
It is not just development people should breath freely and have a sense of freedom too.
Anyways I am done with my rantings I know I am in a minority many ways.

There must be a way to find land for big projects, like they can use land of that area which is not good for forming and does not yield enough money for farmers and they should be given good compensation for that from which they can start a new work for their living.

As for second pt I totally agree that a government should respect all religions and should provide a sense of security to ppl following any religion even if they have not voted for it. This is not a choice but it's duty . On this account government can not afford to be lenient. As I already said they should have checked the ppl making ugly statements from the start. PM once said something about not tolerating this nonsense but that was not enough to restrict them.

Now it is time for government to become more strict in dealing with persons who try to hurt sentiments of ppl of any religion in any way, either by words or by damaging their places of worship.

I have seen that movie several times😆
I think he was at his best then.It should be counted as one of his best performances along with Chak De and Rab Ne Bana Di jodi
One could really feel the joys sorrows hopes and disappointments of that guy thru SRK's performance.

Rashmi,
Good points.😊

-----------
Btw just heard in news, Kejriwal said- We hope center will cooperate with us ( asha hai kendra hame sahyog dega) and if they will not cooperate with us , public will teach them a lesson.

--------------
I do not like this language. They have already told to give them cooperation. Then why this threat ? Wait till they do not cooperate. And cooperation happens btw two parties only one can not cooperate.

I liked that character Surinder Sahni - Shah Rukh Khan totally disappeared and only Suri could be seen.
Yes the other role he played in the movie was a bit loud and the story sucked but SRK as Surnider Sahni was just too good. For once SRK didn't over power the character with his Charishma but his acting talent was in full display in that role

thanks 😛

well muffler man needs to tone down...yesterday only he was asking people not to be arrogant.
center assured of full support immediately after the results and PM also personally congratulated him...is it not enough?
he is talking about janta...but the same janta will throw him out if he doesnt perform. didnt he get a first hand experience in LS polls?

and very true what you say...cooperation is a two way thing...and Delhi is different than other states ...it has more dependency on center so he will require more support ...and for that AAP needs to tone down in their approach. they did in past 8 months...this win should not make them over confident...;like the recent winning streak started making BJP.

I am not a SRK fan...but liked him in Chak De, Kabhi haan kabhi na, Swades , Asoka and surinder sahani in RNBDJ...Raj was way too loud, routine and boring...
in all these movies the typical SRK style was not seen and he was completely in to the character ...like it should be 😆

Yeah, I too liked character of Surinder Sahni and the way Shahrukh brought him out but the other guy Raj and Sahni transformation into him was too much ,overall story sucks.
Kabhi haan kabhi naa saw years ago , could not remember minute details , vaguely remember him chasing a girl who loves other guy ,using tricks to defame that guy and finally realizes his mistake. During those days he was almost chasing girl or using girl for his purpose against her will in every second film. Darr, Baziger, Anjam...Good for him that DDLJ happened and he became hero and got the girls too. 😉

Ashoka have not seen.

Swadesh was good but it was more like a documentary than feature film , missed entertainment element.

Chak De , I liked , all ingredients in right proportion, story ,acting , supporting cast, suspense, patriotism,

Btw I liked ' My name is khan too.' though persona of Shahrukh overshadowed the character sometimes butt still liked it.
