I think Manik's characterization has been pitch perfect. So has Nandini's.

@AY - Samjhawaan sequence was all about Nandini , we saw just Niti , hence the scenes and we could see why she is crying/moping. I feel Parth had nothing much to do but just give those face shots lying on his bed where his flaws like teeth stuff get more highlighted and the distraction.

I think right now to be fair (even though I don't want to be with Parth) we have to forgive them for this week. Parth was lying on the bed most of the time. And perhaps he has been told to be alittle emotionless and dry, because he has got rejected and is not handling it very well. And he has just come back from holiday. One thing for sure, Parth is not stupid, he will not jeopardize his work, no matter what. He has done everything to support Manik and Manan, the worse has been over for them, we are just finding out now. So lets wait for next week.

As to why I feel annoyed in the first place, guess it's just an instinctive dislike for bullies.. I can be objective when it's a TV show not when I know it's real and I am aware of it now unfortunately..

Those 3 months , the most consistent thing was their communication and ability to see each other. He is not able to get her, refusing to actually understand and just wants her , not knowing the why.

I don;t know how to explain but the thing is this disconnect is necessary too , I mean how else will we and them as characters seem their differences. Till this point they both felt their similarities , hence the need and urge to get to know each other. But now is the hard part, looking past the differences , which they both are refusing to do so,especially Manik.

@bold: Hmmm interesting point about deliberate disconnect...although I doubt the writers would be putting THAT much thought into this characterization...lol

But yeah I do kinda see that this is there for a reason other than just dragging...cuz everyone's wondering the same thing...WHY doesn't Manik dig deeper and try to figure out the reason for why Nandu feels this way? Ofcourse Manik being the impatient gadha that he is, it's expecting a lot from him.

He's stewing in his OWN hurt right now too much to understand the depth of Nandu's pain.

On top of that his basically self-destructive streak which is acting up now again...such a mess.

If the deliberate disconnect serves a larger purpose of opening up their communication channels from a fresh point, that would be nice...but I somehow don't have high hopes😆

@Bolt - it's not difficult, I don't like Ranbir off-screen but I appreciate him on-screen . But sometimes lines do get blurred , the point , is good work will get you notice in any case.
