Gone with the wind is amazing amazing just amazing. (Don't forget there also are people who not liked the book at all). You better read the reviews in below website. It has all informations on books all over the world. I usually check there before getting a book to read.

Check the review by annalisa on it. She has done it like a mini research. It will help you a lot than my opinion.
I've not read all books written by Dostoyevsky. But I liked 'Crime & Punishment' the most.
From Maya Angelou's works, I liked her two poems- phenomenal woman & I know why the caged bird sings.
The last book I liked is Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It is very good. It is worth reading only if you're interested in Draupadi from Mahabharata.
Almost all classic books published before 1920 can be read from wikipedia's free online library, wikisource! It has an amazing collection of classic books in English. You'll go ga ga over there.😆 Don't you remember names of authors we learned in schools? Check in goodreads for their works, pick one that appears interesting, check in wikisource if it is available and then go ahead. You might not find every book this way. But you'll surely get a lot of classics to read. And the best thing is you can read whenever you want, if you have your internet alive. For example, THIS link will get you Crime and Punishment. This is how I read these days.
