lol no, its a english novel ... and Lolita is used by the male protagonist in that novel as an endearment for his step daughter, with whom he is obsessed and attracted .. i had not read .. but i have a habit of reading the summary before reading the book ... so i had read ... though the 1st half seems interesting, but the second half just puts off and also the end doesnt makes any sense ...

Begalis i guess are more fond of art , not literature ...

Really? I always thought bengalis were really into literature...don't we keep hearing so much about the works of rabindranath tagore, sarat chandra chattwopadhyay...ans all the stories directors like satyajit ray made movies on..

I guess people in movie business should be counted as art lover , not literature ... though its kind of connected ... but still,..

But ya, RT is a very very famous begali writer.. all over world ... i have not read any of his work though ...

Bengali actresses ---- Sharmila tagore , Kajol, Tanuja , Rani mukherjee, jaya bachchan , konkana sen, nandita das, the famous sen girls u r talking about, and also bipasha(Though i doubt she a art lover ..😆) and many others who are not so popular ..

Musicians -- Kishore Kumar,... i dont think i need to name others after mentioning his name ... the list is endless here ..

In director , satyajit ray as u told... and i dnt remember anyone else right now...
