He has basically signed 3 movies so far - the dharma prodn to be directed by shakun batra with sid malhotra and allia bhatt . Battle of bittora with sonam ( her sisters prodn like khoobsurat ) and Mr chaloo ...which will be directed by reema kagti under excel entertainment ( farhan akhtars PH ...reema directed talaash ) he may also be doing sujoy ghosh ( who made kahani ) next movie with kangana and saif .

He has replaced saif in mr chaloo !

His lineup is awesome 😃 makes you realise for an outsider with no industry backing how important is for the first film to be a success and to be noticed positively in it !

This is something that I just don't understand. Why is there so much hype for this dude? He must be talented for sure, but is there dearth of talent in the industry? How come there is so much buzz around this guy? Same thing applies to that new Pak actress who is starring with SRK. I just feel the hype around them is too much...Both are totally new in the industry, with no backing, no inherited fame and yet they grab all the eyeballs!! It can't be only talent...Strange!

I really don't understand the hype either ... yes, he's a good actor, but he's played very similar roles in the two Pak serials I've seen him in ... in fact, most Pak serials, after you get over the novelty of limited episodes, are pretty similar in terms of story and characters ... just because they're non-Indian, they're grabbing eyeballs. while Indian actors struggle for a foothold. Doesn't seem fair somehow ... the only thing going for Fawad is that he seems to be more gentlemanly and cultured, compared to our rather uncouth BW heroes.

The same for the non-Indian BW actresses who're flooding the place ... though that seems more because our BW heroes find them to be great arm candy ... most of the new imports can't even act for nuts. 🤢

Guinea, even after their first movie being a hit, some actors are struggling ... look at Ayushman. Sleeper hit in Vicky Donor, he had a lot of goodwill when he started off ... but he was in danger of being written off after two flops. DLH has been a godsend for him ... he took a big risk with it, seems to have really paid off. At least it's given him a fresh lease of life ... but even now can't say if he will survive.

Bollywood aint easy atall .

With pakistani actors I presume its the " exotic element " thats working and the inherrent curiousity we indians have abt them I guess 😆 but to fair only the goods ones like fawad khan are being accepted . Imran abbas who came with bipasha in that creature film didnot work out at all ...

That reminds me that actor mikhael in BABY who is also a pakistani actor was so good ...hope we get to see more of him.

I've started watching BeguSarai at 10 ... girls, give it a try, it's good. Very light hearted, very funny dialogues, and the acting is really good. Sulabha Arya as the English spouting, surprisingly modern thinking Dadi is a blast.

I mean that I saw the episode he died , did not watch the first 10 mins of the episode after that ... because I knew there would be heartbreak ... watched after that... given that it is an English serial , they got on with life after 10 mins!

To be fair, they also took a time leap of six months 😆 But I know what you mean ... I watched the first two minutes of TSM yesterday, got fed up with all the crying ... shifted to Begusarai ... came back to TSM after BS ended for the last two minutes ... and Gautami was STILL crying!!! 😆

Lord Grantham is so much more conservative and deeply rooted in the patriarchal system than his wife, or even his mother ... Maggie Smith is fantastic!!! Given the climate in India these days, I find his character fascinating and repelling at the same time ... this is probably how 90% of men in India still think. 🤢
