It was a Tellychakkar.com exclusive about Mishal Raheja getting back to television as the lead of Colors' next, to be produced by FilmFarm India.
Well, we now have more on the show, which has the tentative title, Ishq Ka Rang Safed.
This show will also bring back veteran actress Vidya Sinha on the small screen. The very talented actress was seen in Zee TV's Qubool Hai and Sony TV's Itti Si Khushi in the recent times.
Also, seasoned actor Arun Bakshi, better known as Dhrishtadhyumna, of B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat has been roped in to the show.
As per a reliable source, "Vidya Sinha and Arun Bakshi will be seen as a couple. They will play the grandparents of the male lead."
When contacted, Vidya Sinha confirmed the news to us.
Arun Bakshi asked us to call him later, as he was busy.
We tried buzzing Producer Pintoo Guha, but did not get through to him.
The team will be leaving for an outdoor schedule at Banaras in the month end, is what we hear.
Pintoo Guha and Rupali Guha's FilmFarm India had a phenomenal run on channel Colors, with their very popular show, Uttaran.
Now the production house is all set to bring a love story on the same channel, with a Banaras backdrop.
Well, the channel and maker have cast a big and popular name to play the male lead on the show...
And the guy will be none other than Mishal Raheja, Colors' very own Dutta Bhau of Laagi Tujhse Lagan.
Yes, you heard it right!!
As per our reliable source, "An extensive search was conducted to lock the male lead. Many known and popular names were considered. And now, Mishal has almost been finalized, and is on the verge of signing on the dotted lines."
Mishal has not played a continuity role after Laagi Tujhse Lagan. However, he has appeared on shows Mano Ya Na Mano, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, Encounter and Maharakshak Aryan.
We tried contacting Mishal, but did not get through to him.
Mishal will be paired opposite a newbie on the show.
We sent a text message to Producer Pintoo Guha, but did not get any response. Our efforts to get a confirmation on the same from the channel were futile.
