Rahman reused three classic songs he composed for Tamil film Rhythm, with only four new songs added due to lack of time. The songs of Rhythm were inspired from the 5 elements of the world. Rahman did not do the background score, since he was busily involved in several other projects

Mindless Masala films are copied with Buddas and that genre is stereotyped as all South Films. Back when others were remade such as Saathya, Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyya.., etc... they were never constantly termed and credited as South remakes the way mindless masala films are now.

Only Budda is Rajni doing those films in South, others are all young. Ajay Devgan thinks younger actors cannot pull off the macho roles. Yeah in Bollywood. Not in the originals. 😆

I initially included Yuva but remembered it was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Hindi with different cast. Which makes me curious, was that the first film to do so?

Hey Ram was also simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi.. I googled it.. I think it could be the first film that was shot in two different languages..

True, when they copy good films they don't give us the credit. People in south do balance commercial and off beat films. From Surya, Vikram, Jeeva, Dhanush, and even Vikram Prabhu they are all versatile to an extent..
