Harsh Chhaya

Harsh Chhaya, who is known to be choosy about his roles and had earlier told us in an interview that he hardly follows TV shows, will now be seen in Balika Vadhu.

He plays an NRI painter in the show, for which he has had to brush up his French-speaking skills. "I want to bring more colour to the role, so I have tried to incorporate a few French words. But the funny part is, every time I try delivering a dialogue, my tongue gets into knots and I have to give up," he says.


We asked him if he chose the show because of its popularity and he says, "The character is not routine, it is an eccentric character and not something that people would do on a TV show. As an actor, it should be worth the time in a series where the characters are already popular. It is difficult to find space to put one's foot in a show like this."
Harsh will play an obsessive lover in the show and create problems for Anandi and Shiv. He says, "I believe love is an obsession. Otherwise how do you explain the Taj Mahal?"

It was just a few days ago had read his interview, where he was so critical of the storylines on TV. So this must be something real special that he agreed to do the character. Am super thrilled. And he feels his character will be able to make a mark amidst the already popular characters.
