September gives a 'Red Signal' to popular shows!

While our favorite shows are set to bid adieu, we present them in front of viewers to know how the shows are ending and their happiest moments.

Friday, September 19, 2014 | 6:25:33 PM IST (+05:30 GMT) | Copyright: India-forums.com/TellyBuzz | 0 Comments | 32 Views
Shows come and go. Their aim is to entertain people with the different concepts. Some entertain with their light dose of humor while some also make us cry with their added blend of emotional dose in it but as we say, all good things come to an end and so these shows have arrived at a conclusion. Likewise, few of our popular television shows who have touched our lives are set to bid adieu from the small screen this September leaving their fans dis-heartened and giving some good moments for them to cherish.

TellyBuzz brings to you some of the popular shows whom we are giving a farewell from the small screen in this month.

Ek Mutthi Aasmaan on Zee TV -
DJ's Creative Unit's popular show Ek Mutthi Aasmaanon Zee TV touched upon the topic of maids and their lives. While the show starred noted actress Shilpa Shirodkar who made her debut on TV exceptionally portrayed the role winning praises from the audience. The story revolves around Kamlabai and her struggles in dealing with issues and working in an affluent family. The story traces the journey of this woman who raises the rich family's daughter Paakhi along with her daughter Kalpana essayed by Rachana Parulekar and Shrini Singh.

Though the show had a gripping start it failed to hold the viewers attention after the suvae and business tycoon Raghav Singhania essayed by Ashish Choudhry's exit. The focus shifted on the new girl Suhani (Asha Negi) who is Kalpana. The viewers however, loved the sizzling chemistry of Raghav and Kalpi but hated Paakhi who tries to destroy their love life as she is mean.

The makers introduced a new track and roped in Asha Negi too but could not manage to get the numbers. So the show wrapped up its shoot and ended on a good note where Kalpana and Raghav get married.

Rangrasiya on Colors -
Saurabh Tewary Productions' popular show Rangrasiya onColors is ending on a good note. The show which garnered a lot of fan following and the attention of the masses however, failed to live up to their expectations after the leap. The show is going off air on September 19.

The chemistry between Rudra (Ashish Sharma) and Paro (Sanaya Irani) hit the right chord with the audience engaging them to love their scenes a lot. The brooding BSD officer Rudra Pratap Ranawat marries Paro to save her from the clutches of shrewd Thakur Tejawat (Tarun Khanna) but due some misunderstanding Paro dislikes him to the core. Though Rudra tries to save her life by keeping her in his haveli still Paro hates him. Eventually she comes to know the truth about selfish Tejawat and asks him to forgive her.

To impress Rudra, Paro tries all possible ways to make her place in his heart so that they can live happily. While many obstacles come Paro's way, she successfully manages to look after her house as well as take care of her family.

After Paro's death, Rudra is shattered completely but with the entry of Myrah in the show there emerges a ray of hope that Myrah can only bring happiness in Rudra and Dhruv's life. After many twists and turns, finally Rudra and Myrah come together confess their love and marry each other.

While the title of the show truly suits the plot of the story, the show sees a happy ending making its viewers happy as well as disappointed. Ashish and Sanaya truly make the right pair once again and hence have been riding high with their fans love and support.

Saraswatichandra on Star Plus - Sphere Origins' popular show Saraswatichandra on Star Plus has already wrapped up its shooting and will soon bid adieu on September 20. The show will end with a happy note where Kumud (Jennifer Singh Grover) and Saras (Gautam Rode) will be blessed with a baby girl and will name her name as Sanskriti.

The show stole the hearts of the audiences with the performance of its stars. The chemistry of Saras and Kumud was liked by the audiences and well appreciated. The entire cast and crew did a small farewell party with a cake cutting and wishes each other all the best for their future.

Ek Nayi Pehchaan on Sony TV -
The next name on the list of shows going off air is Ek Nayi Pehchaan airining on Sony TV. The show had begun with with an exceptionally unique concept of a daughter-in-law inspiring and motivating her mother-in-law to study and go out and learn the real lessons of life. Unlike most of the daily soaps that revolve around the clich saas-bahu drama, Ek Nayi Pehchaan truly gave a new direction and horizon to look at a saas-bahu relation. Krystle Dsouza as Saakshi Modi and Poonam Dhillon as Sharda Modi were the best cast the makers could have got.

The high point of the show was bringing in veteran actress like Poonam Dhillon, Rita Ji and Padmini Kolhapure. The makers of the show created some really magical moments for the viewers where every girl/woman would wish - Wish I had a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law like her. The show started getting in low TRPs with the change in time slot and the revelation of Suresh Modi's (Sooraj Thapar) involvement with another woman. The show gradually lost all the essence that it had created during its start. Karan Sharma, Ankita Bhargava and Nazea Sayed had prominent roles to play in the show.

The show will be seen ending on a happy note with the entire Modi family coming together and giving out a dance performance as a visual and farewell treat to its viewers. The show shot its last on September 18 and will air its last episode on September 25.

Baawre on Life OK -
Sunshine Productions' popular show Bhatak Lena Baawre though had a kick start but later due to few reasons the show lost its grip. Baawre is among those shows which went off air in a very short span of time.

This show depicted a beautiful love story of Yamini essayed by Vinita Joshi and a music director cum lyricist Nikumbh essayed by Abhishek Rawat. The concept of the show was promising but it failed to attract audience's attention.

Though this show didn't appeal to the audience but the narrator and writer of the showNilesh Misra's concept was refreshing. Unfortunately the show wrapped up with a happy ending where Nikumbh and Yamini get married with the consent of their family members and everyone celebrated the last day of shoot with a cake cutting ceremony.

Though these shows will be missed by all but let's welcome the bunch of new shows that are are all set to touch our hearts again!

How has your trip to India for the promotion of Khoobsurat been?
I'm exhausted. I want to sleep. I didn't know promotion was such a big thing here (Laughs). It's funny that the number of days given to a film's promotion is more than the days we shoot the film (Laughs). I'm the kind of guy who loves to be in front of the camera, give his shot and go home. It's difficult for a private person like me.

Is Khoobsurat the first film offered to you in India?
No. After I did Khuda Ke Liye, a number of films were offered to me. I was supposed to fly down but due to the 26/11 (2008) Mumbai attacks I couldn't. Some films were offered recently also but things didn't work out.

How was the experience of shooting for a Hindi film?
It was a blast. I had great company. They all took great care of me. We played cards. They even had a Playstation on the set. It was fun and work in equal measure. I also took a historical tour during the two months we spent in Bikaner and Jaipur.

Were you intimidated considering it was your first Hindi film with stars?
I was intimidated from the moment I stepped in. It wasn't because of the big stars; it was because I was out of my comfort zone. But it's necessary to get out of your comfort zone. It's educational. It strengthens you. It makes you capable of addressing situations with a worldview.

What is that one fond memory you will cherish of your stay here?
The film's crew celebrated my birthday on the set. I had tears in my eyes. On my birthday, the whole crew gathered outside and there was cake for me. Also a laptop was kept open next to the cake. They played a video of my wife Sadaf and my child wishing me happy birthday. They had co-ordinated with them and recorded the message. People who knew me for just 20 days went out of their way to do these things...I was touched.

Is it difficult to stay away from the family?
It does become difficult. But when I get desperate and miss them a lot, I ask them to fly down. I don't like them visiting me often because it becomes a distraction. But when their absence becomes a distraction, I call them.

If you start getting offers, would you move to India?
I'd love to do Hindi films but I don't think it will be possible for me to move here. I've never moved to Karachi also even though all my film and television work happens there. Home for me is Lahore. I have grown up there. My family is there. I have been there since 21 years of my life. I'm used to that environment and vibe.

Tell us about your life in Pakistan.
I come from a middle-class family. I had humble beginnings. I even did a 9 to 5 job once. I got into television to escape college. At the age of 17, money wasn't the motivating factor. It was the chance of bunking college. It was a mad bet for me. Also I believed since it was TV, no one would watch it.

But you became extremely popular because of television...
Yes, that's the irony. I did a show called Humsafar and it became a worldwide success. I grew conscious of how I spoke, how I dressed because people were now watching me. Earlier, if we were shooting on location, I'd ask the guys to wake me up 10 minutes before the shot. I'd quickly splash my face with water and come out. I was lazy back then. Now I'm more alert. People are watching and they are watching me carefully. Television became the practice ground for me. I polished my skills there before getting into films.

Would you like to do television in India?
Right now, I want to concentrate on films. I want to exhaust this option. Few years later, I can return to television. I like how television works in the West. It's a big industry. Television actors get paid as much as movie stars. Why can't we have such great content? I'm not saying that we should copy but we should go beyond.

You were also into music, right?
I was. But I left music three years ago. We started a band called Entity Paradigm in 2000. It was an alternative rock band and lasted for eight years. We launched an album and did about 150-200 shows. Then we had a fallout. After a few years we got together but it didn't work out. In a funny way, a band is like a marriage. You marry someone, then you get divorced and then you get married to them again! To make it work, the second time round, you have to have all the right things in place. But everyone had moved on. The discipline was missing.

Okay, they treat you like a superstar in Pakistan na?
They do? I don't know... Maybe!

You don't seem to carry the weight of stardom around...
I don't like to. It's bragging when you say how many fans you have or how much of a superstar you are. I don't make such claims. I lead a normal life. I like to operate like any other person. It was difficult in the beginning but now it's fine. (Laughs) Ab toh main ghar ki murgi daal barabar hoon. I like the fact that the person sitting next to me doesn't know me.

What according to you is the flip side about being a star?
There's just too much attention. I hate the attitude of people who believe you are a circus animal and they can take your pictures from any angle they want. Then there are people who float stuff about your personal life. But I guess, you have to get used to it.

F

Talking about attention, your female fan following is crazy...
It's flattering and humbling at the same time. I'll be an idiot to say that I don't like it but I don't know how to react to it.

How does your wife react to women fawning over you?
She's possessive and I like that. Initially, it did take a toll on my personal life. It's like in any other marriage when a woman gets too close to the husband at a party, the wife will react. My wife would also react to it though in a subdued manner. Now over the years, she has taken it in her stride. And the more it has grown, the more even tempered she's become. Now, she's proud of the fact that her husband is wanted by so many people.

And you say that you don't feel like a star...
That feeling hasn't sunk in yet. But let me tell you, the life of a rockstar is much more interesting than that of a movie star. It starts from the green room to the stage and back. The high you get out of performing live is something else. There's less worry and politics in music. You do what you want to do. It's an amazing life. An actor's life is boring.

Having worked in both, Hindi and Pakistani films, what are the differences you've noticed between the two industries?
It would be difficult to comment on that because there's a second wave of cinema in Pakistan, which I haven't been a part of it. The last film I did was Khuda Ke Liye in 2007 and that somewhere earmarked the revival of cinema. Here, a movie releases every Friday. There the process of filmmaking and releasing it is slower. Here there's a system in place. Plus, the investment involved is the biggest difference between the two industries.

There have been protests by political parties against Pakistani artistes coming to India. What's your take?
It's not just about political groups but some people in general don't like it. So the lesson people need to learn is that it's such an enormous industry and there will be something for everyone. But if it's more because of the spirit of nationalism, then it's their choice. I'm not in their place so I can't understand their sentiments. As a member of the Pakistani film industry, I'd love Indian film stars to work in Pakistani films. I'm sure the reaction would be why should we, considering it's such a small industry. But it's growing day by day. And it will attain a respectable size soon. Similarly, my coming to work here is more of an attempt to mend broken ties. We need to stop thinking within boundaries now. It's high time. I'm a global citizen and not of just one country. I respect the laws of my country and those of other countries as well. So if it becomes a national policy that we won't be allowed to work here, I'd respect that... baat hi khatam ho jaati hai.

Do you feel disturbed about it?
It's sad. But how can you change someone's mind about it? That's not possible. You can only motivate and inform them. They are entitled to their choice. I respect it.

What reactions are you getting from Pakistan to the trailer of Khoobsurat?
They have been positive and supportive about it. They are eagerly waiting for it to release.

I love how he mentioned his wife is possessive..everyone is n why shouldn't be one?there is difference between possessiveness n jealousy.. that's funny n adorable when he added that she is now proud..😆I'm going to watch the movie tmrw however i'm not sure m i even interested in movie or watching fawad after long in a new character ?😆

Like fawad i m really waiting to see asian TV industry working on West way.. There should be seasons n decent amount of episodes n should stick to original story this way actors could enjoy their lives n could do tv shows n movies together even ! Sigh Tv industry is still revolving around Sass Bahu

New Buzz for Sanaya : Go & Comment for her.

I am proud that I did a show like Rangrasiya - Sanaya Irani

Sanaya Irani who is enjoying her break these days post her show Rangrasiya, speaks about her journey and fun times spent on set in this exclusive chat with TellyBuzz.

September is the month of several shows going off air and bidding a farewell to their viewers.Life OK's Baawre, Zee TV's Ek Mutthi Aasman, Star Plus's Saraswatichandra, SAB TV's Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai, Sony TV's Ek Nayi Pehchaan and next on list is Colors Rangrasiya. WithRangrasiya airing its last episode today, we got in touch with this versatile actor Sanaya Irani to know about her journey in the show. This actor par excellence who has won millions of hearts by her acting speaks about her fond memories spent on sets, bonding with the co-actors and a lot more. Read on!

How was the journey of Rangrasiya?

It has been a great journey. I got an opportunity to work with the most talented co-stars in the show. I still remember, I felt the same what I am feeling today while I was doing Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? too. You do scenes and when you have actors equally talented, it just makes the scene seem so amazing. I have felt that in Iss Pyaar Ko... and in Rangrasiya too. I am going to miss that a lot because my work means a lot to me and when I get to do good work and good scenes, it makes me very happy. So I am going to miss that the most inRangrasiya. I have made some wonderful friends here, met some wonderful people. I am feeling bad that I will not be able to work for my most favorite producer Saurabh Tewari. He truly is a wonderful person.

Your journey in Rangrasiya has come to an end; are you full of emotions?

I love this show and am much attached to it. But by now I have got used to this (chuckles). I have done four shows back to back, so I have got kind of used to it. I am just taking as a part of life.

When you go back the memory lane, do you remember your first day of shoot?

Yes, yes, I remember! It was a crazy day when Goldie made me do like a thousand takes for a particular scene. So yes, that was really very crazy.

A peculiar thing about the show that we saw was you wore the same costume for a very long time. What do you have to say about that?

I think that was the main reason the show did not do well on the TRP charts because I was seen in the same costume (laughs). But on a serious note, that was one of the best times I have spent while shooting. I got to do some really good scenes in that costume. So specifically, I like that costume for the scene that I did wearing it.

Some fond memories spent with your co actors...

In every show of mine, we have sat together and have had crazy lunch. That is the one time we sit together and talk so much nonsense. So yes, we are really going to miss this. Digging into each other's Tiffin's, kisiki meethi daal toh kisiki teekhi daal. We are going to miss all of that.

Any of your funniest moment you would like to share...

We have had a lot of funny moments. Ashish (Ashish Sharma) and I have laughed a lot during this entire journey. Actually that is something that has happened in all my shows because all of them have been romantic shows and romantic scenes are very awkward to do. So, you are very awkward while shooting but generally with me I find it very funny and I keep laughing because I always had co-stars with whom I have been very comfortable with. They are like my friends. So, the awkwardness goes away into humor. You are trying to cover your awkwardness by laughing.

Ashish and me burst out laughing like every second-third scene; till the last day I was like 'Ashish please do not look at me.' Or at times we just crack some stupid jokes just before our scene and we cannot stop laughing. Yeah! We have had those kinds of weird moments on sets.

So now what next after Rangrasiya?

I am hoping for another good show; something bigger and something better. I truly am very proud of doing a show like Rangrasiya. The show was very demanding for an actor and I was so happy to give that. I want to do something like that and I want another show like that that excites me. If someone comes up and asks me whether you still want to do Rangrasiya? And I would sign on that contract five times. I am that happy doing a show like this. I think what I have got in these nine or ten months of the show, I do not think I would have got it in three or four years of any normal regular daily show.

Lastly, any message to your fans?

Thank you guys for loving me in whatever I do; sometimes it is weird stuff sometimes it is good. But you guys still love me so thank you so much. Thank you for watching the show. I know a lot of you are going to miss this show terribly but well life goes on I guess and you will have much cooler shows and nicer shows and you guys will have much more to watch. I love you all.

We wish Sanaya Irani all the good luck for her future endeavors!
