There's no damage where I live. But several really old buildings have been damaged in napa as they were not up to proper earthquake codes yet. About 100 people are injured, 3 of the, critical - one who is a kid and a chimney collapsed on him😭

Its the old building and not properly built ones that are dangerous...

I spoke both as an architect as well as from personal experience...

In the place where I lived, I could see the volcanic peak from my patio... and we had daily quota of ashpour... If it was silent then all would be wondering as to why?

You guys make this thread so tempting... it is hard to stay away, but have been too busy for words. Had a somewhat free weekend, and so spent it almost all on IF.

THe opener was super cool! loved it...
