Their interviews were scripted but they did share a certain proximity and comfort level that came out on the screen. There is a reason dear wife was so insecure while first hero was on the show.
IMO, they are still comfortable and friends with each other based on their pics when KSG returned to QH sets as intern. I think they don't socialize due to other factors, I mean as you said, fans rooting them to be real couple and insecure wife. Forget about socializing, for the same reasons they may not work together again.
In all honesty, Surbhi and KSG were perfect as ASYA and the couple were rage in first months of QH. I liked RV too but no doubt KSG breathed life in to Asad before he ended up as his own caricature down the line with those long locks.
