Yeah he's says it 3 times but they are not officially divorced yet. He has to stay it to her for 3 months. Nafisa was behind all this, Zain thinks it's Alia who sent him and his mother to jail. They were beaten up and Zains dad died.

No what happened was Nafisa poisoned Alias parents mind that Shaurya is torturing Alia. So Alias parents decide to file a complain against Shuriya and Zain. They tell Alia that they want to close her Bhopal bank account so Alia signs the papers. Alias parents later on decide not to do anything as Zains dad holds Alia moms hand ( he's in wheelchair, paralyzed). Alias parents throw those papers in garbage and Nafisa summits those papers to police. Alia goes to meet Ayat and Rizwan meanwhile police comes and arrests Zain and her mom.
