Hahaha! Summer break, my foot. I've spent it in lab, at work, writing college essays, or pathetically attempting to finish the self paced college course on programming.

I like to think that I've traveled a lot within India, but that is subjective, I guess 😆

My family loves traveling (so do I), so we've been to quite a few places. All of us love road trips, so we've driven to a lot of hill-stations in the north...some of my fondest childhood memories are associated with those trips. 😊

I've been to Rajasthan a few times (went to Udaipur and Mt.Abu on a trip organized by my school, and have been to Jaipur several times for dance performances) but there are still so many places that I haven't been to in the North-Western part of the country.

Never got a chance to go to the North-eastern part of India. I've always wanted to go to Assam, especially because my dad lived there for a brief period of time, and he always described it so vividly.

We went to Orissa mainly because my grandparents wanted to visit the Jagannath temple there. It was not the best month for sightseeing because monsoon had set in, but nevertheless, was a memorable trip. The temples are incredible...so many mythological stories associated with each temple! The sea was really beautiful too, even though it was really windy...

I also have never been to Goa, or to Chattisgarh, Bihar or that part of the country. Some day, hopefully, I'll make it there as well 😆

Awh that's too bad! But are college applications out already? And you're already writing essays? Aren't applications due in December/January?

They are out! I'm finishing up the ones I'm applying early to, and my common app essay. Or rather I'm hoping to finish 😆

Wow. It is only July! Maybe I did that too. Don't remember...that entire phase is kinda hazy...😆

No, just two. Stanford doesn't let you apply to other private colleges early if you apply early there.

It takes a lot of time and effort to write these- they don't come naturally at all
