None of these historicals managed doing that.All the tracks were ineresting back to back that too. There was some suspense in each episode,and since it was a weekend show,we were even more restless,waiting for the episodes.Lol.SO that was an advantage for them.Alsoback then,all channels had saas bahus.ALL.
PRC changed that trend. and then so many mytho shows followed. I rememba ekta telling in an interview,that she was amazed by that little boy who's becoem such a rage (It was CRAZY back then. Ehhh,teenagers 😆 ) But yes I do agree,we are biased towards it coz of nostalgia. 😆
I like the new MB,i really really do. But the fact is,the creatives have twisted and turned so many things. ANd that too when it comes to mahabharatha and ramayan,majority of the audience knows the story. so when they've chnaged something,people instantly know.moreover they've its not very Skipped so many major events too.
Whereas with PRC,that was an advantage. People knew about him,but not in deatil,like how we know MB and ramayan.
Chandragupta had a crisp script. And the leads were brilliant. it was NDTV's only show which was doing exceptionally well.
And well JA doesn't even make the cut.
Why did I even start wacthinG this show. I was horrified after watching ekta's version of MB. The first scene i had scene that too was Draupadi's vastraharan. RIDICULOUS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT for what I saw.
