Posting here in hopes of getting two more readers. *yay me* ☺️

The blackened night roared violently,

Some ran for cover and some provided it,

Even the brave were framed by fright,

Even the aimless struggled to survive.

Soaked in thunder, consumed by it,

All spirits were turned to rubble alike,

The pouring put out the fire in the brave,

It assured the purposeless that they ought to die.

Black became purple to meet the shining sun,

The wreckage silently rang in all ears,

We must remember that all were broken down,

Few patched themselves up to face the day.

This reminds me. No matter how much I try, my IF simply won't log me out of it. I log out and I am redirected to the homepage, where these days an ugly Indian couple is kissing in the headlines, and guess what? I am not logged out. 😳

You must know by this point that I'm kind of awed by your poems and the way you weave your words into actual stories. It's so...I don't know how to describe this, it's so vivid that I can really just see what's happening. The imagery is fantastic.

Although because I am curious and I probably got it wrong, explain to me what this is about.

War?

This is a three stanzas long metaphor. The authoress discusses life here, in its rawest form. The authoress, however, cannot write like this anymore. Thus, suffice it to say that life gets pretty darn shitty, 'blackened', if you will and all kinds of people have all kinds of reactions to it. Very few, to begin with, overcome their demons and the world's demons to actually see the light.

Yeah, you get that shit, my friend.
