I didn't heard whole speech but whatever I have heard I really liked it n he was fab. I agree with no barrier between Common man n PM n it was like, he was intracting directly.

My Papa is big fan of Mahabharat show n it ended last week he is going to miss his only source of entertainment. Even I use to watch but not religiously like him and I liked two characters of new Mahabharat the most that were Duryodhan n Karan, both did awesome job and they have actually lived up their characters.
Collegium ssytem is when 3-4 SC seniormost court Judges choose CJI. It was not there before 1995. after that SC passed the order. usse pahle ye sirf recommendations bhejte the president ko. and the power was with President( indirectly with Govt.) to accept it or not. but after SC ki judgement in 1997, the recommendations became binding on Prez. now it has created many problems. abhi tak we didn't have powerful govt after 1990s. but now with Modi and clear majority, there are going to be clashes between judiciary and Govt.Originally posted by: Invisible_Wings

President can't disqualify and Prez has no power. everything he does in on aid and advise of the council of minister. So Prez means indirectly Govt will do. Even mercy petition pe bhi Ministry decision leti h. and Judges cant be disqualify on the whims and fancies of anyone. it needs 2/3 member present and voting and the number of member favoring the disqualification. Waise as far as I know all judges are apointed by President. Then how could PM interfere in this matter I think only President has right to qualify n disqualify.

CJI is right but we are facing many problems. we really need a board type structure who is there permanently to appoint Judges. Becoz there are so many vacancies which is creating problem. this is becoz either the judges dont have time for this or becoz they dont have any relative to nominate. the favoritism is becoming quite an issue when it comes to appointment of Judges.Originally posted by: Invisible_Wings

I have read somewhere that Mr. Modi has disqualified one of lawyer who had fight against Modi when Modi was accused for riots in Gujarat. But our CJI and advisory n administrative board have opposed this decision because they said that all the decision which are related to Law n Orders should be taken by its expert not by Govt.
I fully agree with CJI Mr Lodh he rightly said Courts related decision should not be taken by Govt. I am damn sure Govt will appoint only those people who favour Govt decision. Best part of Indian Constitution, India has parallel Govt in the form of Supreme Court. If Govt interfere there too then day is not far away when we will under monarchy system.
