Mahendra Singh Dhoni sues ZEE for defamation

ZEE restrained from talking about Mahendra Singh Dhoni in IPL case

Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has sued ZEE Media, IPS Sampath Kumar and News Nation for defamation on reports linking him to the Indian Premier League (IPL) betting scandal.

IBN Live reports that Dhoni has approached the Madras High Court demanding a compensation worth Rs. 100 crore. He alleges the media giant spread defamatory news about match fixing in the IPL.

The High Court has restrained ZEE Network from telecasting any news involving the India captain, who also leads the Chenai Super Kings franchise, in the IPL case.
