*~ About Surbhi Jyoti ~*

Personal Life

Jyoti was born to a brahmin family in Jalandhar, Punjab. She now resides in Mumbai, Mahrastra while her parents and younger brother stay in Punjab. Her mother is a homemaker and her father is a businessman. Jyoti received her early education from Shiv Jyoti Public School, Jalandhar after which she graduated from HMV College (Hansraj Mahila maha vidyalya). She then received her MA degree in English from Apeejay College of Fine Arts. She said that her family has been very supportive of her acting career.

Career

Jyoti has worked in several movies and music videos of Punjab. She has also worked in the Punjabi serial Kach Diyan Wanga. She starred in popular Punjabi movies such as Munde Patiale De and Raula Pai Gaya.

Jyoti now essays the role of Zoya Farooqui in ZEE Tv's Qubool Hai with Karan Singh Grover which was a role that helped her gain significant media attention and popularity. On her role as Zoya, Jyoti has said that she can relate to her character in real life. To prepare for this role, she said that she watched Pakistani shows.
