I don't know about the show you guys are talking about.. and nor would I ever see it.. no matter how much "successful" it was!!

The thing is I don't like such love stories.. I like dark ones... like RIshBala's I like gothic and dark love stories like Wuthering Heights.

No do not even think I am comparing Wuthering Heights with MEIEJ! 🤢 As much as I love MEIEJ I would never compare it with the classic!

But the point is.. RIshBala's love story I always thought was unique.. It's a different kind of love.. I mean I hate the way all soaps portray love. Man, all love stories are different. We have all kinds of people in the world and so, love stories have to be different as well. Who says love has to be all selfless.. we had RK prove that no it's not the case.. who said that love is all roses and rainbows.. no it gives pain.., it can be destructive.. I don't know if I make sense or not.. but that's what I feel.

I hate it when they show a supposedly angry young man falling in love with a soft in the head female lead.. and then after a couple of fights love blossoms and everything becomes hunky dory.. and the guy is changed for good! And then they show that love is like this with everyone.. too cliched I think.. And I hate these kind of love stories... I love stories like Rishbala's where love is an everyday battle.. it battles with demons inside of the lovers.. and the external forces alike.. so for me RishBala are still epic and unique.. because call it self-destructive or whatever.. it's one of a kind..

But the beauty of IPKKND is just that...it never becomes hunky dory after they fall in love...the leads remain their consistent selves with minor improvements...Arnav still remains that manipulative rich guy who thinks everything in terms of money and business deals...he is not "changed" in love...

RM love story is a dark love story...That love story is an angsty one with dark undertones.

I agree on that point but alos feel that arnav character was really strong character of gul khan show up till now as it never got butchered at all and gul don't need to make him expose his body like maan to show him hot neither need to make him cry like asad to show his emotional bonding for heroine

even I think arnav was one of the best characters on TV...after RK of course.
He was a manipulative businessman who saw everything as a business deal, protective brother, logical thinker, had anger management problems, was a rich snob, was a caring and attentive husband, was insanely jealous and possessive, supportive to his wife in every way even against his family, and had a tendency to manipulate every situation with money...he was a balanced believable character who remained the same even after falling in love...
Maan and Asad are much simpler characters...thats why they need to cry and show off their assets to attract attention...Arnav and RK are two characters that dont need to do that because their characters only are so strong.

exactly arnav character was just superb character than gun khan asad and maan and that is why I find BS as stupid fool to leave the show for never release movie😆😆

Now.. don't get me wrong.. I loved Titanic.. I am very selective of the love stories I like.. But I don't like the dilute version of dark love stories.. I would either like a completely dark love story.. or a love story like Titanic or .. (no other example is coming in my mind.. I am not the most romantic person actually! 😆)

nono ...u just asked...so i tried to explain... as IPKKND and their couple were a most celebrated one and the show only ended because the male lead decided to pursue a film career...

I have a feeling that completely dark or completely light love stories are not everyone's cup of tea...esp the former...most people like to see a balance...

I like love stories that are different from the norm...i never liked Titanic...W Heights was good but not something I would read again (in order to preserve my sanity 😆)...I liked the Lizzy-Darcy one...I love the Spock-Nyota romance of current Star Trek...I like RamLeela because of its different spin on a Shakespearan classic...I like Mr and Mrs Smith...I liked Klaroline...I liked Arnav Khushi...I loved RM till before Bhai or even till wedding and then slowly my love has been chipping away...
