The rain was falling hard,

As the auto rickshaw made its start.

And then lightning cracked and thunder sounded

And on the wind-screen the rain pounded.

Wet I became, sitting at the side,

Alas, I had nowhere to hide.

Now with a sore throat and fever I sit,

Unable to talk, or swallow even a chai-mein-dooba biscuit.
