@ Suja- I do not think Zoya was ever progressive ..I know i sound like a broken record but Gul is a pseudo feminist and her female leads are always passive aggressive in nature..They never stand up for themselves when they need to but go berserk when they need to STFU😆 Did Zoya open her mouth when Asad slapped her? Did she give it back to Asad when that jerk said she doesn't deserve parents? Chalo teek hai, did she even defend herself when Asad accused her of not saving that bitch on time? Did she stand up when Haseena literally called her a prostitute in front of all and sundry? Yes, she has given a couple of good lectures to Asad but thats it😆 On the other hand, when the guy is actually concerned and is worried about her safety, she goes ballistic and talks about women's rights😆 Not to mention, her ta umar crap and if all this was not enough, Zoya might agree to sign the nikahnaama merely because Asad said so..Am sorry but thats not the definition of progressive in my book..You don become modern and progressive just by wearing short skirts and ogling at the male lead's six packs..So yeah, i don think Zoya was ever progressive IMO😆
