Though I might be wrong as I don't know a thing about the show and the protests that are happening.. but I think they might not just be about the name issue. See protests often happen when a show or a movie or even a book comes into light based on the personal life (no matter how fictitious or realistic) of some historical and political figure. It happened when movie, Elizabeth came as well.. Gladiator also I guess... these movies were hit.. but they were somehow controversial.. because while depicting the lives of royal families, politicians and etc. people tend to get biased.. or one wrong thing shown can offend many.. so it happens..

From the articles I read today , what I got ... All the protests have mainly 2 issues --

1. The name confusion . Many ppl saying none named Jodha Bai ever existed . So this show is "distorting" the history .

2. By showing Jodha unwillingly marrying Akbar & there after hating her own husband , this show defaming self respect & moral values of Rajput women 😳
