Yes vistaa u r right ...but i live in us and though i'm not working my hubby files in as a Individual with spouse...we show even our MF's interest or dividend paid and pay tax here...so in general u pay tax in the place where u live...thats my understanding...let me check with my tax consultants(dad and hubby) and tell it much more clear

But wouldn't it be double Taxation then Visi because we already are paying tax to Indian government on the income earned in India.

Oh okay - So tulip your case is reverse then. You have to file in India even though you reside in US, Is it. Hmm we never filed any tax form in India when we were in US for 13 yrs.

If a person lives in USA gets a US payroll and has investments in india...then he has to pay US tax for his payroll and all the interests he got from his investments from india and to file a no income tax return in india ( the interests gained should be with TDS)

Yes I think most of us have basic simple requirements - Have characters who are strong and who fall in love to stay happily ever after. I never can understand the concept of - True love happens again and again and I hope I never have to experience it on any serial.

It is indeed double taxation, and the tragedy of Indian expatriates in the US. Expatriates from most of the European nations and even some Asian countries, don't have to do this because US and their native countries reciprocal agreements and tax treaties. India and US do not...
