Agree with you guys. Barun and ASR hav done great things for each other. If not for ASR, so much attention wud not hav been on Barun. N without Barun ASR would not have become the cult character of TV.

But there is no use clinging to ASR all the time. Its over. Now we can cherish it, the show, etc by re watching d episodes n keeping it a nice memory.

Beyond that, its childish to cling to it.

The movie is a new thing. Searching for ASR in it will be a disastrous viewing experience. This IF fandom, popularity all can give it a good buzz, bt aftr that its movie's credentials that will determine its fate.

As for him, its an actor's choice n right to do any character. We can dream or criticise the choice as per its out come.

Bt clinging to the past or insisting that we have to be clinging to ASR to prove that we admire Barun's work is childish.

barun is a free spirit who cant be caged to d skin of asr for ever...
let him xplore a wide range f characters ...n in turn itz a win win situation to both d actor n d viewers,as d actor could satisfy his unending desire for novelty n as audience,we l get a chance to enjoy sensible movies..
what makes him different from his contomperories,is his restlessness n thirst for creativity...n datz our gain also...:)

A very big reason for the success of the character was Barun. He owned it completely and delivered big time. So much so that the channel decided to axe the show rather than attempt to continue without him.

But he is smart enough to understand that he can't rest on his laurels or assume he has done everything now. And that probably prompted him to choose the character while he was playing Asr. He had to show interest in doing variety in order not to get slotted into a certain category. I have full faith in his ability to do this not becoz I saw ipk but becoz I saw baat.

Asr will remain one of the best portrayed angry young men on tv but I hope and pray that Barun is not only known for that but for all the work he does in the future as well

and dat z his biggest challenge as an actor...dat how effortlessly,n easily he. z gonna make d audience drawn towards his new characters without reminding us f d asr in his new avtaar...
if audience still feel an asr in ron,,or his sukhi reminds is of shravan,i wud say as an actor its his failure...
so lets see how he faces d challenge n win over it...:)

channel ws forced to change deir age old slogan of "character matters not
d actor"...den wht happens in barun/asr's case?
d channel has to pulled off d show n rajan singh admitted that no one can play asr like barun did...may be d fans r thinking itz becoz of d calling n spamming...n we all know itz purely a business decision by d channel...not coz f d "bunch"of spamming n calling..
wt ever d reason,barun's absence from d show has a major role in it as d channel even put an infamous disclaimor of non existing movies as d reason...all d charity talk for 200 ppl n emotional outburst on d last day f shoot went in vain...
abt d boastful declaration f limited characters in tv-if someone alwYs prefer to play safe games n still boasting about it like when khushi smiles we can see all her teeth n when chanchan smiles ,she smiles without
opening her mouth... so all my characters r differnt.. 🤓
