I didn't go through the whole thread but TM was absolutely wrong.. Zoya was just talking abt herself that she used to wear it in US all the time.. she didn't generalize the whole muslim girls at all.. if tomorrow Zoya says yeah I drink, smoke in US occasionally so viewers should not make a hue and cry over it too coz its her wish to drink or smoke.. just bcoz she is a muslim girl and drinking/smoking is prohibited not allowed in islam doesn't mean at all that SOME muslims girls in US or even in high society of India/Pakistan don't do it.. they do drink or smoke occasionally.. it's a fact..

but having said that, keeping Zoya's character and her upbringing in mind where Zeenat and Anwar were her guardians, her saying I wear it all the time is practically not possible.. Zoya doesn't come across as someone who likes to wear miniskirts even if Z-A are not allowing her to wear short dresses .. any muslim girl who values culture and her religion can never wear mini skirt ALL THE TIME..

so here, my problem is with the writers of QH.. instead of 'all the time', they should have written OCASSIONALLY..

as far as ur comment is concerned.. yes in a way you are right.. general audience do believe what they see on their tv screen.. not each and every viewer is padha likha samajhdaar aadmi who could understand that this is just a fictional show and is made only for entertainment purpose.. when you clearly wrote MOST (and not Every) non virtual audience so there is not point to call you an idiot or disrespect ur opinion.. they are the idiots who didn't understand that you did not generalize the whole audience in ur comment.. my mother is a house wife, and not a smart intelligent viewer.. whenever she sees such crappy illogical stuff I have to tell her, educate her that whatever is being shown is not right..

the biggest example itself in the yesterday epi when that Qazi comes and takes Asad and Zoya's signature on the nikaahnama.. Sidra, you, me and other muslim viewers do know very well that bride and groom's sign can be taken only once when Wali and Qazi ask their consent for the marriage.. but yes, family members of both the sides have to fill up the details of bride, groom and all the witnesses of both the sides in the nikaah form way before the actual nikaah ceremony.. like in my sister's case they did it almost one week before the nikaah day.. but I m sure, many non muslim viewers must have thought that okay bride and groom's sign are taken more than once by Qazi, which is nothing but BS.. so there is no need to overestimate the intelligence of general audience that each one is smart enough to differentiate b/w right and wrong, real and fictional..
