It is a fact that Barun look leave from the show for 45 days, but he didn't do it all by himself. All the concerned parties reached a consensus on this. If the PH or the channel had issues, they wouldn't have given him the leave right? They would have left him go, but they didn't. so to me they worked out a deal where everyone is happy. Barun because he got a compromise (his request was to actually quit), PH & Channel was happy because they renegotiated with the lead & got him to stay.
But the leave agreed was not actually a leave entirely; it was only a shortened appearance - he still had to do his scenes during the weekend/nights.
So, whatever was agreed was accepted by the 3 parties. He did his job as per the script; the script which was modified to accommodate his shorted appearance. He got paid for it too.
It's the PH/Channel job to come up with the script & they have the final say in the story line. So the amended storyline was agreed by the channel to air. Audiences to an extent accepted his too. But it's the PHs storyline, not the actors.
If in this fiasco, all concerned parties are responsible then what I do not get is how the actor is bashed as though he is the root of all problems? Why isn't anyone talking about the responsibility of the PH & the channel in this case? The PH & channel get one line of criticism while the actor gets the rest!
