ok majority wins😆
my ques is if you decide to watch a serial or a movie does the personal image or activities of the actor or actresses matter in your opinion. like if you dont like offscreen persona of someone does it effect your decision to watch it?

p.s i know i will be the worst teacher if ever i try. ignore if you find my ques weird😆

Nah not really ... Specially when its a movie ... I don't even have favourites to look up much of their background.

for me, if the story is good and it holds my attention and the actor or actress does a good job and i can relate to the character onscreen i will watch it.. i consciously attempt that my sensibility as a viewer does not get overshadowed by the offscreen persona, but i will limit my exposure to that particular actor or actress only to that particular show or film.

But if i like an actor or actress not just for their acting capacity but also for their offscreen persona i make an effort to keep a tab of them be it their future projects or general know how of their well-being 😊

hope i did not confuse you now😕

edit: wah samaji .. mein aap ke one-liners pe fida hu.. here i have taken a full para to explain😆

Hmm, that depends on what the actor/actress did in real life I guess.

When I see Heath Ledger movies now, all I can think is how such a brilliant actor lost his life to his addiction to prescription medicine.

Sometimes, I see Salmaan Khan movies and think about his accident/buck shooting case.

So, it depends on the severity of their actions in real life. But in most cases, when the actor does something really unforgiving, his career is dead! Successful revival rate is very very slim. E.g. Mel Gibson's career and life after the anti-Semantic comments!

But to date, I have never said no to a movie because of the actor's real life actions. I have said no because of the story line or because of zero talent of the actors!

@ Tanya very truly put.. if a celebrity's controversy outgrows his talent then when we see the star onscreen, everyone would tend to remember, but at the end of the day most of the people nowadays know how to differentiate between reel and real i guess.
