I wanted to post something yesterday, but by the time I came online and caught up with the thread, it was too late.

Lot of speculating going on today... I am using speculation because we as viewers really do not know what's transpired behind the scenes (right from November 2011, which was when according to LM things started going haywire to November 2012, when the show ended prematurely). We all have interpreting the little information (mostly from yellow journalism & inside sources😡) to the best we can. But unless the actual sequence of events & the complete truth are known, fingers cannot be pointed.

For me the entire fiasco is a result of mismanagement by Star Plus and 4 Lions. It's appalling, how an organisation as big as Star Plus has handled the quitting of the lead actor. From various testimonies by co-stars, an actor who has made his availability to the PH very clear! Despite knowing the terms, the employers just didn't seem to have a handle on the situation. An employer always sets the tone when an employee leaves & in most cases they take the responsibility to reduce the impact on business when an employee leaves - however, in this case, everything is backwards!!! The PH leaks the information to a journalist with no apparent links to any reputable organisation who then leaks the information into an open forum. Employees claiming to be from both Star Plus and 4 Lions, providing half-truths & adding fuel to an already muddled situation'. The decision by the PH to leak the information to an open forum instead of providing a formal statement plays a crucial role in how the whole situation went' Nothing and I mean absolutely nothing that the channel, 4 Lions and Barun did seem to have a control on situation. Getting Sanaya involved too didn't seem to help, considering how influential she is with the fans. I liked the way she straight talked to the fans, putting forward ground realities. But regarding Barun's leave, she too used the word break and not quit! What is the point in roping everyone into the controversy when they are not allowed to actually use the word "quit"?

Before Barun's coffee session with Gul, viewers are given open letters and statements like 'We hear you but unfortunately things are in a state of limbo'!

So, while things are in limbo & the creative's seem to suffer to writers block, people are expecting the actor to come out and say oh by the way I quit!

I have never called or spammed or signed up for any petition to get rid or retain any member of the crew, because the bottom line is shows and movies are a result of a creative process, the creative process cannot be forced! Instead of calling and spamming I chose to use the handy little gadget called 'remote control' because trust me towards the end, the show was cringe worthy!!! People I know who were never part of online forums stopped watching after the remarriage. The oust of Shyam was the biggest disappointment for me as a viewer and the subsequent tracks just made it worse for me & it was during Mrs India track that I decided not to watch after Barun's exit' Mrs India track was the final straw for me, I no longer had faith in the CVs; the very same Cvs that envisioned Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta'. It was painful to see how the standards had dropped!

Why even try to retain Barun, when Viraf was already roped in? Clearly, the channel and 4 Lions stopped trying to retain Barun and that's when he shot Arnav's death sequence, then what's with the disclaimer that they couldn't retain Barun?

Actors come and go, but unless it is managed properly the show is doomed! The show is also doomed if majority of the cast and crew suffer from creative dissatisfaction. It is the responsibility of the PH to ensure that their actors are creatively satisfied.

One thing that I have noticed about 4Lions and IPKKND is that they never replace any actor. Mamaji wasn't replaced; heck they didn't even tell where he is until much later on. Daljeet wanted to leave, but was retained. They didn't replace Aakash and Paayal, instead send them to the States' Shashi Gupta's character had left well before Aakash and Paayal (saw him in Balika Vadhu) and the viewers never noticed his exit!!!

Here's my few cents on the fiasco! I genuinely fail to see how everything falls on the actors shoulder and is entitled to such ridicule & hate!

Hi Payal (I hope I have got your name right {pinkeye}), Yes I do like the discussion here & even if I may not agree to the points at least it's dignified and not hell bent on metaphorically assassinating actors & their characters! And cherry on the cake, is no personal attacks. Barun and Sanaya can be discussed without having to justify why you enjoy their talent; why you don't like one and why you like the other; why you like both or none of them!!!

In the main forum, I am sick and tired of being called delusional and hormonal because I don't hate an actor or because I see the human side of the actor!!!
