IMHO, when there's nothing, nothing whatsoever, between the actors, that's when the screen crackles with chemistry...
& the moment they do it..All the tension goes out & the chemistry gets soggy!..See KAjol-Ajay Devgn, Kareena-Saif, or other couples??
& I think the reason is, all the narrowed eyed smoldering glances & the breast-heaving heavy breaths are all so OTT...So you have to, have to, act them out!!There's no way you actually feel like that!!& if you feel it for the actor, you'll just go lax thinking, 'oh, we love each other & that will shine through..'But it never does..I think the acting part was responsible for the great chemistry!
