if that is the case, then, i think a multi-channel aid may help... i think the doc u've seen, knows what he is saying!!...

but, i cant sit here n conclude without seeing your dad in person n observing his problems...its a tad bit difficult...

you can try for a second opinion if you are not satisfied!!

it is not possible dear, to restore the full hearing for him...we can only help him to get maximum use of his ability...atleast to understand what others are saying..

plz dont stress him...an old person (i guess your dad is near 70 or so?) can easily get frustrated n also may not be interested in getting treated...explain it to him politely what can be done...n also, get his opinion on the problem...

you know, the sooner you check , the better it is !!...

for your mom, is it a hearing problem or an bone growth?
