My favorite fictional Indian Tv show to date is Saans.

Saans
is an Indian television series written and directed by television actress Neena Gupta who works in the series as well alongside television actor Kunwaljit Singh. It was telecast in 1998 in Star Plus. The story focused on the accidental Love traingle between the characters Priya, Gautam, and Manisha. Priya and Gautan are married and have 2 children. Manisha walks into their life and Gautam pursues an affair with Manisha.

The show shows the various ups and downs in the relationship between the 3 and how it affects their family and children. Although it was telecast in 1998 the show very sensitively handled the case of extra marital affair and infidelity. The plots were close to real life and so was the acting. There was nothing OTT about the plots, character development of acting.

Brilliantly written and very well made show.

I haven't watched much Indian/paki serials to ve able to have a favorite. But I really liked Humsafar. It was sort of a shorter /cut down version of IPK but it gave us everything that we would want. They guy blamed his wife of cheating and she gets kicked out of the house...instead of become a weak, nonsensical character she held her own and lived as a single parent. When she was forced to bring her husband back into their daughters life, instead of running into his arms she ,et him and his family hear it. There was proper redemption, proper character growth, great dialogues and well executed.

As far as Enlish shows, I have way too many to name. I love Suits, Breaking Bad, Mad Men and would say they are my favorites currently. I like them mostly because of the characters they have. The office, Arrested Development, and Parks and Recreation would be favorite comedies in recent times. Law and order SVU is my favorite crime show, I can watch the repeats and have watched the repeats way too many times. Erm, I'll leave it at that. I cant choose just one show😆

LOL well all 3 are well worth watching. I think you'll like them. Mad Men some people find boring but I find the characters great. As well as the concept of the show. But if you're going to start, then start with Suits. This show is just amazing.

From these i watch like Dexter, Bones, GOT and like em all. I want to watch American Horror Story once I get the chance. Erm, castle too but idk if I feel like watching it. Didn't interest me. My friend keeps telling me to watch 1600 Penn and he's a show critic so I trust his picks.
